I'm considering getting one, since I have a Patchblocks unit as well, which is a bit limited in comparison, but is pretty great regardless. Looks like the Axoloti could get to almost Nord Micro Modular territory.

This is such a game changer. The bass this thing puts out is ridiculous. It's a rather temperamental beast though—there are definite sweet spots!

I've also encountered a few little bugs here and there.. I'll try updating to 1.0.1 first and see if I can replicate them. I think one was that the env/LFO destination resets to pitch from filter if the step pause is changed and then reset to normal. This may just be on the env/LFO screen though.
Also, shortening the pattern length and then resetting it to 16 sometimes throws the pattern out of sync.. I know nl2 returned to the correct position, but perhaps this is residual nl1 behaviour?

In general though, I'm really impressed with how this feels and sounds. The interface is nice and quick, which I'm assuming is something to do with the DMG CPU not handling the sound therefore having more time to draw the screen?

Such a great idea, I think I'll end up doing the same mod to mine, especially since it's pretty much going to be a dedicated nl mono device!

Yeah, I'm going to try it !

that means it'll technically work on a CGB as well.. I may have to do that.

dmg whine is real as fuck on this, and while live it'll sound great your headphone listeners will get some headaches for sure

sounds great! hope the LFO gets nice and fast; I'm gonna try to push the 0F.STTC sound into new dimensions with this thing, I reckon.

I haven't tried nl2 on GBA/SP, only on the game boy micro (which is a bit noisy but seems to be a different kind of noise between all three micros I own).
If you're not planning to sync it to anything, the DS lite or even original DS has the cleanest sound. Unfortunately there's no link port though so you're limited to using it on its own, or syncing by ear.
