Speaking of SND
fuck yeah, I would have been losing my shit at that gig, instead of just standing around looking bored like most of the people there.
Someone needs to bring this style to the live chip scene!

Nice! I haven't heard much of his solo stuff but I love SND.
Someone on another forum said that Mark Fell's solo work sounds like Sonic repeatedly hitting the pinball bumpers in Carnival Night Zone, I kinda agree but don't necessarily think it's a bad thing
sweeeet, get some recordings, I'm keen to hear that acid stuff!
Yeah, I'm really into this. It's like a lo-fi version of the super glitchy stuff on Raster Noton, which is great because the super clean audiophile quality of artists like Ryoji Ikeda kinda gets to me after a while. It's making me want to get into Protracker stuff again. I should dust off that old G3 iMac and put a Protracker clone on it..
I think its good to break away from the pop/chipmusic cliches once in a while and let the machines and the universe do the talking.
Good philosophy. I'd love to see more chip shows dedicated to the more abstract stuff, current chip shows/festivals are more dance focused (which is definitely something I also enjoy) which means we never really get to play minimalist/ambient/improvised music.
I like to bounce between the complex and the almost nonexistanly minimal and this is caught somwhere inbetween.
Cool, I'm glad someone else in the chip scene is into extreme minimalism. I'll give this a listen!
You could have several tables that have different transpose values and then use a Z command with an A command.
Wow, that's a great idea, in general. Would be really nice for timbral variation.
shiiiit, this is the kind of stuff I like to hear. Totally inspiring me to make my own chip noise.
Yeah I've been really into those Henry Homesweet sets lately. So good!
Song mode is something I haven't really experimented with in nanoloop, that said though, thinking about it now it seems like it'd be a good way to get some cool tempo control and time signature changes going if used correctly, especially since one channel can be used as the tempo and/or pattern length master.
try this perhaps? I found a fully working PPC iMac on the side of the road a few months ago and I've been meaning to try that Protracker clone on it..
Haha, wow, I might actually get in on this—I've been thinking of doing a Depeche Mode cover for a while now.. I'll have to see if my vocal skills are up for it!
Cool, I'll look into it. My other option was the Gemini MM1:

.. but that iRig mixer looks better!
Me again. Seems I can't ever use the same setup twice.
I'm a bit like that. I get bored when using the same setup over and over again. Your pic reminded me though, I need a mini mixer like that. I have a small mixer but it doesn't have a crossfader. I was thinking something passive like the Pokket Mixer, but I've heard that passive mixers can be a bit strange. Then again I do like strange.
thanks everyone! I'm enjoying this stuff, let's keep this thread going, new and old releases welcome.
Grabbing all of these, thanks everyone!
Download link for this doesn't work!
