The Videogramo artwork is outstanding. What a tour!
So... DC... think about it okay?

The trick is all black keys
Whoa man, don't spill the secret. Remember, that's called g# minor, not "all black keys!"
Clutter ensures I am impartial and hit everything, sorting might change that. Not sure really (as backwards as that last sentence seems), I guess I leave that sort of thing up to the label.
This album is so amazing, awesome seeing it on pause.
I had the pleasure of visiting Maker Faire Austin back in 2008 and had an amazing time, I'm somewhat surprised chipmusicians hadn't descended upon these events before (I would have if I wasn't so far away). What I can say is this - the Maker Faire attracts a wonderful audience of technology lovers and the technology curious, and these two often overlap. I imagine you'll have zero problem drawing people in to see everything that you've got on display.
The booths I remember best from Maker Faire Austin were the ones that were interactive, ones where I could do something myself and really get to know the people running the booth through playing with the fun things they had brought. Hell, I've still got all of the handouts I got from there, and that was two years ago. I really do wish I could be there, and have an awesome time, I know this will probably bring a few more into our strange little world.
There's a way to detune/transpose an entire track on NTRQ? Trying to play some track with electric uke.
Top of the screen, the list of patterns as I'll call them, press and hold B, then the number should change to 40, change this number to transpose then let go. It will change back to the pattern number and you'll find that when you play, everything is detuned as desired.
Kunaki really is a useful service that provides grand product for cheap; I personally have never used it because I feel I'm not quite at a level worthy of it but it's got serious respect from me that's for sure. I mean, the thing to consider is "Will anybody actually buy this?" and I figure that's where I hang up. As far as our collection of infinite droves of netlabels go, I figure more of them could benefit from such a service though.
Edit: I didn't fully read your post until now and would also like to mirror your list of uses for the potential money here - we are always hindered by the big money issue. It makes the world go round or in our case keeps it from going round. The money that is made needs to be invested back into growth/promotion/etc... there is real potential here.
That was pretty great my friend, what all are you using to make all of that? I can only mirror Lazerbeat's curiosity there.
Hot shit, at knitting factory of all places, eh? This must have been truly outstanding.
Ah well. More is always better. I seemed to recall in one of your earlier beta discussions you said it could handle one... guess it's time to actually read the manual. *embarrassed*
I still think that 256K is alot better than 8K, you could hold so many more songs. (256, I should think) Hehehe. Anyways, the non-expanded SRAM seems far more viable knowing this, but now it makes the expanded SRAM seem even more cool!
I know this is a few pages back, but I'd like to just bring my thanks to light as I'm just now hitting the thread. I find my biggest issue with NTRQ is the need to change out .sav files shy of constantly because I can only fit one or two songs into the save file, something like this switch idea of yours is ideal. Sure it's not software based, but I'm not at all worried about that, the ability to switch between saves (and therefore between loads of different songs) would be the point that determines my purchase or not. Very grand idea, Arfink, I'd like to see how this all fits together, especially considering how NTRQ is so new and still changing all around us. You lot always prove the be the best!
28 seconds is the lowest I've ever seen a "write a song that is x seconds long" compilation go that has still seen some form of quality in its entries. This, on the other hand, just will not work.
Might want to try and look up other trip hop stuff as well. Off the top of my head I suggest Portishead, FlyKiller, Massive Attack, Tricky, etc.
I very very much second Portishead and Massive Attack. Go for the albums Dummy and Collected respectively.
Fuck I wish I could go to this.
Dauragon, lets start something in DC damnit so all of those from Tokyo will wish they were from the midatlantic.
...
Right on time for me to be in my first week of college, virtually unmissable.
*sigh*
Well, have a damn good time you guys, have a DAMN GOOD TIME.
This thread has made my day.
