Hi everyone

As the mssiah forum seems to have bitten the dust I thought I would post my question/issue here....

I am using a C64C and was trying to run a SID2SID board inside. However because I am using 1x original  8580 chip and 1x SwinSID (the latter being quite tall in height) the space underneath the keyboard was never going to be enough to fit the board/chips in.

I added a kind of extension cable to the sid2sid board so that an extra socket on a trailing cable plugged into the C64 motherboard and the actual sid2sid could then sit anywhere within the case. However, when I use this 2 things happen, the first is that no sids work and the second is the issue of a massive amount of extra noise added to the audio outputs of the c64.

Any ideas why this may be? Could it be the length/type of cable I used for the 'extension'? I used a cut up IDE cable....

Thanks.

thanks everyone for the quick responses. i have realised it is not too much of a problem for me. I have just come out of the amiga into 2 mono channels on my mixer and centered the panning there. early stages of octamed tracking (first time tonight!) but will soon have it running in sync with my c64 and mssiah, circuit bent guitar fx etc so it's not going to matter too much. now i have the amiga straight down the centre im happy.

thanks again!

Hi everyone

I have just recently got myself an all singing, all dancing A600 and octamed v3, v4 and v5. I have not used the program before but understand the principles behind tracking software....

i have a newb question and this is how do i adjust the panning of the 4 tracks? i am currently using octamed v5 as i guessed the lastest of the 3 i have would be the best. track 1 is panned hard left and track 2 hard right. is there any way of adjusting this within the software? having my kick drum just in my left ear is a bit annoying :-)

hope one of you kind folk can help me, i really wanna get some techno out of this thing!

cheers, tom

Hi

Thought you guys might like to know about my next retro gaming event on 4th June 2011 in London.....

Hand Baked Arcade are at it again, this time with their event called BUTTON BASH! Their retro gaming haven has found a new home at the Star of Kings in Kings Cross and their largest installation to date is to be open from 8pm – 2am on Saturday the 4th of June. This Pub venue is a great size and layout with enough capacity for a whole range of consoles and games machines never before seen at a Hand Baked Arcade event.

This time round expect to see all the usual suspects:

Mega Drive
SNES
Master System
2-Player Arcade machine
Atari 2600
Gameboy's
Binatone Sports System Mk10
Leiro Machine

+ new playable setups including:

N64 now added!
NES
Sega Game Gear
Doom Multiplayer Deathmatch (tbc)
Sega Saturn (10 player!) Bomberman
homebrew corner featuring Orbital Snake by RJB Software

The Hand Baked Arcade are well known for their FREE to play arcade events across the UK. Installations have previously been seen at many of the best music festivals including Glastonbury, Glade & Bloc Weekend. Although they have also been seen in countless night clubs, art galleries and even on The Gadget Show, Channel 5.

Their last installations in Leicester Square and Farringdon were road blocked with eager punters so the venue size has been stepped up to allow the friendly, relaxed gaming vibe that Hand Baked are well known for creating. Expect as always to see many screens from small TV’s through to multiple video projections.

Background music will be supplied by Hand Baked DJ’s: lo-fi, underground, crazy, wonky, eclectic and electronic will be served up to help you BUTTON BASH!

So get down to the venue early, get the pints in and let nostalgia run through your veins, The Hand Baked Arcade is back in town!

** £4 on the door, all games FREE to play **
