About:

Chipocrite aka Paul Weinstein (former bassist of MJ Project, Philadelphia’s favorite jamtronfusion monstergroup) started making music with Game Boys in early 2009. It was the sound he felt he was destined to create, a mix of old and new, a way to bridge the comforting video game tones he grew up with and the complex but catchy songs he was hearing in his head all those years later. He’s constantly adding new songs to his repertoire, which has been described as “upbeat and danceable".  It’s exciting, it’s neato, and, above all, it’s some of the most fun he’s ever had making music.

Best news indeed. It's also the same thing trash80 has said he's been working on for over a year but there were still a million posts asking why we didn't have those things even though, again, probably 90% of trash80's posts on this forum have been him saying that he's working on those things and that they're coming soon. But yes, great news!

Wait, people can't post in forums AND visit the music section? I'm sure some people are...?

I prefer releases over single tracks myself, but man, the random bits you can catch here and there are phenomenal. That early version of Roboroach by Derris-Kharlan remains one of the best chip music tracks I've ever heard, and I'm not sure how interested I would have been in his release if I hadn't been exposed to that one early. PILOT LARS has a brief little track called "May 26, 1984" that has my interest piqued in anything else he ever works on again cause it's so good.

Note! Note! Note! Note! Note! Note! Note! Note! Note! Note! Note! Note! Note! Note!

I'll help out in this regard and wish you the best. This is fucking infuriating. I always like to say that it could have been worse, but fuck that, as true as that is this is fucking infuriating.

I devoted a lot of years and effort to help make 8bc was it became today. I helped take it from under 500members to well over 15k members( and now it's over 20k members?) So i have a little bit of a right to hold a grudge for quite a long time.

I don't knock you for how you feel or holding a grudge. I understand how you feel and I think it's legit. Constantly bringing it up in this forum though...it's just lame as all fuck, I'm sorry to say. And it's also, in my opinion, a little insulting to this site because, well, I know this place kinda started, or was inspired by the horribleness of 8bc, but I think it's high time for Chipmusic.org to have it's own identity as a place for chipmusic, not just the happy/superior alternative to 8bitcollective. It's long overdue.

I won't go off-topic on this shiz again though, my bad y'all.

i like some of the suggestions being brought up how ever, i think the music section is just fine the way it is.. the fact is... i'm seeing very little views which tells me .
1. people are in fact uploading tracks
2. other people simply aren't listening to the songs.

I agree, and I agree with what you and some others said before, which is that the music section should be featured more prominently. The way we interact with websites is mostly intuitive, ya gotta throw the music in people's faces just a little bit without being spammy.

FFS, was the Jose rage really necessary here? Really? We can't discuss another site without bringing up some shit from over a year ago that it's owner did that 99.5% of people barely remember anymore? Come on now maaaaan, let's move on!
