This is what I hauled to my last show - laptop, two dmgs, headphones, beanie, all in a netted sack which held a bunch of skate gear a few minutes prior.

ooooh, switchable theme from the project page might be nice!

Oh man, that'd be sick! I was just suggesting doing it manually.
But yeah, I never had the idea of imagining an inbuilt theme switcher. I've been going through piggy color schemes on a daily basis, and i hate doing it by hand, manually.

Mister nostromo, get on all these good ideas!!

Also, does anyone have any ideas for other minor user experience enhancers like extra key combos / the extra select mode etc?

If only psp could do midi sad
gp2x feels so flimsy and fiddly in conparison

I remember hearing something about click sync with the PSP, like panning everything to one side and having a simple constant pulsing click run on the other side of the speakers, then using that click to sync another device?
It ain't midi, but it's still sync. I think it's a pretty cool idea!

Wait, does the mean the PSP 2000 I just shelled out for won't run piggy?

You're fine.  He's saying that the PSP3000 is the only piggy-capable system that is still be produced new.

Oh thank god, I've already bought a 4GB memory stick and I'm gonna go pick up my 2002 today. Hyped to try out the pig on a handheld platform!
Tracking with limited buttons on a PC just feels so shitty and alien to me. I hate emulating LSDj on a computer because the button layout is so unergonomic and different from that of the GB. Hopefully piggy should feel better through a psp!

Also, I've been invited to play at a scene girl's 16th birthday party (she's a close mate of mine), and it's Pokemon-themed.

Watch this space, guys.

Does he post here?

He once told me that he hates chipmusic forums, and wouldn't listen to one of my tunes because it was uploaded to 8bc.

you only have 3 volume chhoices, right? Maybe you could just make it to loud, then when you get to your big speakers, llower it to 2 or 1 as needed?

Someone's probably already mentioned this, but adjust the volumes of your other sounds to fit with the quieter WAV channel. If you have any loud pulse and noise instruments, lower their volume instead of trying to make the WAV channel louder! I personally rarely use pulse volumes over Ax (unless it's a heavy pulse kick, I'll even go so far as to crank it up to Fx!)

with the exception of psp 3000 which is probably being phased out, I think there aren't and portable platforms which support piggy being made any more?

heaps sick work, vic bro

Well, I haven't actually put out a proper EP in a year or so, and I'm still working on a chip record too!
I've got one non-chip EP in the works, and it's been pretty fun to work on. The worst part is waiting on remixes from people that said they wanna do them... Beggars can't be choosers, I guess

Telerophon showed me this guy a few hours ago, absolutely digging the style! Chip horror... and not (directly) taking the piss out of cheesy 80s horror films, either!

Lush sounds here! I love the mix of gritty and smooth textures, tech-ish and natural sound sources. You've pulled together something really great here, I'm digging it!

It's not often you get many chip dudes paying strict attention to the finer compositional points like dynamic and expressive techniques. I think dynamics have pretty much lost their place in most contemporary electronic music, and most people get scared with using it. You've got it all sorted out though, man!

I love it, I absolutely love it! I gotta chuck some money your way later on!
