Seconding Akihabara. My sis went there a week or so ago, and she said the gaming stores there were good and plentiful

honestly man, do what's easiest. the difference is so minute that you wont even notice it. If you like sitting at a desk and hitting away at a keyboard, use your computer. if you like sitting on your couch mastering through tv speakers, then use your wii.

really, man.

It really shouldn't be this hard. You must be doing something wrong. If not, then maybe something's up with your Pi.

So is this a label, or just a webstore (a la iTunes)?

Nonono, you don't need to do that. Just find the file in your explorer/file manager, right click on it, and allow it to be executed as a program. Then double-clicking on it or running it form the cli should work!

Out of curiousity, do you know what the difference is between Nanoloop 2.5 and "Nanoloop Two?"

I've heard of nanoloop one, but never nanoloop two.

This is just the standard GBA cart, labelled with nl2.5

Selling off an NL 2.5 cart. I got this a few months back from sugar-skulls in trade for a backlit DMG.
It's in good condition, works fine, barely used. Selling for $60 negotiable, or asking for a DMG (backlit would be nice) in trade.

we just need something in the site that says "LEVEL xx THREAD NECROMANCY!" when you bump a thread 2 months old or older

Not if someone's adding to the conversation. Sketch asked if there was a guide around. I think that's more-or-less reason for a bump.

can anybody help me figure out how to record the output from this?

i haven't been able to make a music video with it because i can't figure it out.

A screen recorder program would do well if a native recording option isn't available. Personally, I recommend Camtasia

Tried a different cable?

let me check my vast supply of micro usb cables.

Information is being transferred, it is recognizing that it's a USB device, just that it has no idea what to do with it.  Wouldn't a faulty cable just not transfer information, how can it "cloud up" my digital information?  Do I need one of those high speed monster cables?  Also since the cart is lighting up....

EDIT HOLY FUCK IT WAS THE CABLE.

Fuck you technology.  I can't believe I found another one lying around.

Yeah, for some reason, carts and some cables don't like each other. My EMS 64M was the same, it refused to work with long cables.

so it seems they're loaded with a hacked rom with some demo songs on there. The hacked rom is to prevent you from seeing the data. However, if you replace your save without replacing the rom (because why would I?) it makes me think my data is BROKEN and can't view my files but can play them somehow.

Another stroke occurred during this learning process.

Oh, and all I have to do to actually see the song data is pair it with a non-hacked LSDJ ROM. Copy protection that makes you think your stuff is broken is awesome.  I'm sure that seemed like a good idea, but it really just made me pull my (nonexistent) hair out for 20 minutes.

I'm only posting this in case someone else runs into the same thing.

From what I can gather, this is the freeware LSDJ player rom, which essentially just plays LSDJ stuff back to you. No modification or anything. I've never actually tried it, but I know it, indeed, is a thing that exists.

@Celsius/Abrasive, I reckon this should be put on the drag n derp webpage to avoid confusion; some people know about the LSDJ player rom, others don't!

Did you know that Amiga songs were actually in the UK charts in the 90s?
Or that breakcore evolved a lot thanks to Protracker and OctaMED?

Yeah, I always thought that. I heard a lot of early breakcore and dnb artists started out with amiga trackers

Cases are expensive and boring and unecessary, my iPod goes commando. Who needs a $50 plastic case to listen to music or take professional-quality filtered photos on the Instagrammer?

Fuck an iPod case
