If you want audio in, you have to be in on my secret that everyone is unaware of because they are a bunch of hobknockers.

You simply buy one of these puppies https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6cW8XuEBB0, and place it inside the case of the nes. you then take the input and output of the pedal and add wire to make them fit to the edge of the nes. You then drill the holes in the nes where you want your 8 bit audio in / out and place them accordingly. Solder up. You then take the switch out as well as the pots and dill holes for them on the top. You then have an NES with 8-bit audio in.

this upgrade even works for NES's that no longer power on, so it is a win'win upgrade that is a lot cheaper than the MIDI stuff I mentioned before.

All laughs aside, this is what I would use. The Chip Maestro lets you plug MIDI instruments into the console / cartridge to control the sounds.

You could then use a computer to convert sound into MIDI, but that can get laggy if you are using an old machine, and I hve yet to find a free solution, especially for polyphony. I think it would be sweet however to use a Casio MG-510 MIDI guitar or something with it.

Really looking forward to this big_smile

You have a website already? Or do you need one made still?

That is sick, mostly because of the soundtrack.

You've come a long way. This is pretty cool stuff man!

I lucked out big time. It is indeed an NTSC! I think it was part of the auto info on ebay, as I am looking at others for sale and they all have the same info.

It seems like it will be much more work than anyone wants to do.

That's what I thought.

I guess I'll just leave it in the box and put it back on eBay.

I have a PAL n64 in the mail that I didn't realize was PAL until it had already shipped.

Is there any way to make NTSC games work on a PAL n64? I've heard of the other way around working before by some simple mods but never heard of the other way around. I don't think it would work for me because aren't the video signals different too so I would need a PAL television anyway?

Would love to hear any thoughts.

I think I fit your description.

Some news about why he cant cut the side with an image

"I print the image on paper then use sticker paper to attach it. Can't cut grooves into paper."

He probably thinks that because of the .se in the blogger thing.

dsv, tell us everything you learn from that other guy. He looks inclined to crazy stuff and i love that big_smile

Sorry for the two day wait. But yeah, the .se through me off. But he does have a 13 week turnaround posted on there or something like that. I'm a more in the moment kind of guy.

Anyway, that one dude I stated is inclined to do crazy stuff. I believe he does semi floppy 10", 7" with two sides, or a 7" with art on one side that shows through (I don't understand why he cant cut the side with art on it). All clear plastic. I think the 10" is round while the 7" is square. Really cool imo. Also, he is open to doing random shapes.

As you can see in the link above, a little ways down their is a box of pizza records. lol. Just give him an idea, and he can make it happen. He has responded to my emails promptly and seems like a cool dude.

I'm still writing new content to get put on the vinyl before purchasing, I wan't it to be super special and cool.

He is decently expensive, however he has been kind enough to respond to my emails in a very timely fashion and I think it is worth it. I;m not buying a batch necessarily, just a test record to see how it holds up to 10 or so plays.

Also, that guy you sent has a 13 week turnaround time apparently, as well as him being in a different country doesn't help shipping cost/time.

Found this guy

I will most likely order a test record of some new jams sometime in the next week or so to see how it holds up. I'll keep you guys posted!

Care to be more specific?

Like what are you using to make the music? What recording tools do you plan to use?
