As for the lettering I've been told that a magic eraser lightly across it works to remove that. To much pressure will mess with the texture of the case though.

This is awesome man. It's one of the things I wanted to try out when/if kitsch made his custom cases in clear and apparently he is, so I'm definitely going to give this a shot along with th other things I've been wanting to test. Glad to know it actually works though. It looks fucking amazing. I'd leave it alone honestly. I think if you did another coat it might be to much...maybe though. By the pics it looks amazing though.

Omg I need atleast two of these. I've been scrounging so hard to find some clear boys for some testing. I can buy some of these and not have to risk ruining any clearboys. Thank the gods lol

It would be interesting if you attached a heavy duty carabiner to the end of that.

I might do that actually on the next one I do at the top do you can attach it to you belt or whatever. It would be cool lol and pretty damn easy. I have two that are the same diameter as this ring.

Had to post this I just did it just to do it. Sorry Matt/kitsch if this bothers you but I personally like it.

Quite possibly the first gameboy "piercing"...?

Lol. Still cracks me up.

Note to kitsch: this is NOT the case you sent me to test stuff on its still in perfect condition waiting to. E flocked lol. This is the one a friend of mine bought for me at blip fest.

Haha well of if you ever need anyone to watch after her ad fill her needs I offer my services. Lol

On a serious note now I may use this color scheme on a gameboy one day because it's so beautiful. I'll probably use clear blue buttons and light them though but I'll note you as the inspiration for the color scheme if thats cool with you. I've been debating on how I would paint my next clearboy when I get my hands on another one and this is just pure awesome. What kind of paint did you use on the inside? I'm thinking about using purple xmetals which would give it the purple color but leave it still kind of see through. But then again the solid purple looks do damn good too. But yea just asking for permission to recreate your baby with my own twist. It's all about respect for me man. And hey if I have my own I dot have to sex yours up.

That is one of the sexiest gameboys I have every seen man. Seriously wow. If it was a gamegirl and I was a gameboy there'd be some seriously rape happening to that thing...unless she was willing of course.then I'd love her tenderly lol

Uhmmm I'm not sure about any of it but the Atari joystick. There's a local gamestore here in my town that has about 5 of them priced at 10$ USD. I dunno if that's right market wise they may be worth more lol, if anyone says they are worth more I'll probably buy thelthings and resell them. Anyways I hope that helps atleast a little. This place sells DMGs at $7.50 and gameboy pockets at about $10. Super gameboy carts are maybe 2$ and a snes system with all chords and two controllers runs maybe 15-20$ at this place so yea they definelty under price a lot of stuff.

I think some just plain clear swirled with some other colors would be cool. Clear swirled with black, white, DMG pink, green, grey, that would be awesome. Would probably look pretty sweet button lit also. I know you've done swirls before that we're hand cast I think but switling some clears would be awwwwwwesome.

PM 12ianma he will sort it out for you,

i wasn't planning to keep the details private for ever, just until i had built a few designs that will benefit everyone, i wanted to make replacement front boards for the DMG with a pocket screen socket, so it would all be plug and play. i am just a bit busy at the moment to get the eagle files finished, but after that i was going to release all my notes and details i have on the gameboys,

Well if it isn't the man himself lol. Well thanks a lot and  man I'll do that sometime this weekend when im off from work. Cheers

I also highly respect Nex I talked to him on a very common basic and have a very high respect for his work and input in our community but I also disagree with it being kept from public eye. However I do only want to try it out on two gameboys that's are worthless to me and if I can pull this off it'll atleast give me one working gameboy rather than two non working...on that note where is this disclosure clause I need to sign so I can get this done? O_o

Or do I just need to contact him personally? If that's the case I'll just PM him on the Facebook. Just let me know. He's typically a very busy dude lol so I don't want to bug him unless need be.

You should post a pinout though.. Please??

I second this. I'm interested in seeing a pinout also I have a pocket that's just laying around and has no use and a front DMG pcb that has a destroyed screen. I'd love to attempt this mod and see how it comes out.

Wow man this is actually some very useful stuff thanks for posting this. I'm curious about the acetone soaked gameboy though..was it sticky or did it solidify? It kinda gives me an idea...lol
