or something like PSP LCD (good enough for Mssiah&Prophet Basslines)?
I'm still looking for something cheap, only few bucks.
I'm using this:

not good, B&W, but really cheap and not so big (If you use C64&Discdrive, this takes not too much place in your case).
Composite vid. input.

Hell Yes!!!.
you're absolutelly right!
Will there be any function to rename them?
And wouldn't be your LSDJ much more buggy?

I have never seen a defmon.
any link?
thanx
great music BTW
reminds my own live project (no chipmusic) (http://soundcloud.com/rybachyba)

I used to use JCH to perform live. It sucks, but it's possible. You can hear it in a release I made called Bortabra. But now I use Defmon. You can use it to make everything from scratch live if you want to. Here's a video of me and my 3 clones doing just that: http://blip.tv/raquel-meyers/2sleep1-005-exedub-5546878 (warning: not edited)

Sure
I know it
I know lot of aleksi work (he's not working on anything already? what a shame), but I don't like to sequence all tracks in one sequence...
But retroskoi is not what I'm looking for ...
It's just a synth
I like to play live sequences just like in LSDJ
muting/soloing channels
selecting upcoming sequences
keyjazzing to other running sequences (is there any program doing this?)
tables
lots of tables
all in one included
hmm.

4mat wrote:

actually if you want pure (not sequenced) liveplay then retroskoi is worth a look.  I might as well post this here as it's not that well known.

Some shitty work (spending most of the time here in cyberspace).
Lot of musical projects in the evenings, rehealsals, playing concerts with bands and drinking a lot.
Feeding the cat and giving a water to some plants.
Collecting musical instruments. Trying to repair / broke / bent them.

It is an english translation there!
Máš tam anglický překlad

I somehow think there is way more C64 coders on the CSDb rather than here.

I'm sorry. I didn't realise that there is a C64 section ... oops
I can't read all of the posts here...
I really can not.

Why is this not in Commodore section, btw?

goto80:
what are you using for your composions BTW?

c64 scene tools and lsdj cater to two very different markets though.  c64 trackers are usually written by demosceners for demosceners, hence there's really no need for a lot of live interaction when the music is only ever going to be played in sequence.   you either work around that limitation or write a new one I'm afraid.

You're absolutelly right. That's why I am posting here. I am not a coder...

gotoholly80
but no files there ...

LSDJ is really powerfull in it's control BTW... really fast
SDI is so hard in orientation for me...
Ok, maybee I'm too lazy for teaching so much new keyboard shortcuts
There are no trackers with syncing functions.
only mssiah/prophet sequencer (ech).
and that awesome LSDJ tables... what is GB music without them?

Hello.
Anyone working on LSDJ style tracker for Commodore 64?
I'd like to see this tool!
I didn't find any so smart live playing oriented tracker.

Give Piggy a try. Definitelly.
I use both, LSDJ and LGPT, it's not too different in look / control / commands.
I really like some Piggy abilities.

xombiexplox wrote:

Hell yeah! So it isn't too different than LSDJ? Should I halt my LSDJ learnings and jump into this?

Probably my future's EP Cover art...

Thank you breakphase.
lot of good informations here.
I didn't know, how Views counter works...
I don't like to play songs on chipmusic too. It's so hard to push play on every each song manually.

Ok.
But what's the difference between Soundcloud and Chipmusic?
I'd like to know what trackers think about tracked music.
Do they check Soundcloud and don't check Chipmusic, their own site?
But this is a different question.

how about just stop uploading your music to cm.o since nobody browses the music section and find some other way to get people to notice and respond to your music (soundcloud, bandcamp, youtube, et fuckin' cetera)

because i mean that's what i did
