hey now, i don't mean to start a war here, but i showed the flier you designed for the last show to my graphic design friend (who graduated a few years back and is making a decent living off her work) and she ripped you apart for, among other things, placing the text way too close together. we all make mistakes :3
but yeah, fucking rad lineup! gonna try and drag the silly raver kids out of the institute for this one.
the text was close on purpose, it's an aesthetic thing. also i threw that together in like a half hour or so just because i couldn't stand the original one.

Hey pixls... if you want it sent with your soundbytes shirt that can probably be organised. Probably save some money in the long run
that would be simply beautiful.

I would say it's irrelevant to chip music. I mean it's vaguely related because chip music does have a bit of those video game roots, but other than that i think one doesn't have much to do with the other.

When i was looking at the price i was like "AUD? no big deal..."

Either way, not even close to being too much for this awesome thing!
I hope it's ok through that mad distance shipping.

i've been following this quietly, and i think seeing something like this happen would be really cool, depending how it works either as a standalone platform or as something to be partnered with another medium

the manuals looks real nice but it doesn't mean much to me without having used the program *hint hint*

How are you guys doing all these visuals? I've poked around and found some decent software, but it all costs like $200+. Is there a hardware solution to mixing video feeds? I've got enough random video gear, but no way to mix it...
I use quartz composer to make visual.. uh compositions, and then i usually use vdmx for live mixing on the computer. Quartz is free and mac only, VDMX is 299, but the demo is free and is just missing the save presets feature, which is ok with me as long as i have like a half hour to set up before a show.
For hardware a lot of video mixers are really expensive but if you're looking for a cheap dirty way to mix video Karl Klomp came up with this brilliant little device called the Dirty Video Mixer that mixes composite video signals without sync which gives a really cool glitched look (a little less than half way down that page).
I made one for myself which was awesome, but it started fucking up just before the show, protip: don't use shitty components
other than that I've been experimenting with hardware glitched NES stuff (circuit bent/broken),

I have chromacle.com, but it's not very informative, i suppose it gives an idea of what my stuff looks like
this is the best video of my visuals, but I've only done two full shows so far,
