I was thinking about abstract categories. Your implication is false, there are objects which aren't random but without period neither, see for example geometric progression. But there is no random object with period. You have to notice/assume something more to put an equivalence to these statements. Perhaps you was talking about common general rule, where I could agree.

Computer's inability to be random you have stated isn't an immanent property.

Greetings.

White noise on a computer is never truly random, therefor there is a repeating cycle

You wanted to say: there is a repeating cycle, therefore white noise on a computer is never truly random? smile

I would want to fix that but I have old tools. I avoid newer environments, sorry wink.

I've thought about it but the result would be not so convincing (think how the final form of such .gif file would look like).

Hi, I want to share my funny tool called gif2xm. As you can easily predict, it's a program converting animated gifs to FastTracker 2 pattern data (.xm).

This one was created only for fun purposes.

Thanks. It is rather hard to make me non-active in this part of human activity.

I was sure I've reviewed it already. Well, you have selected very precisely these sound together with you wanted to create a mood. Your composition is rather ascetic but, on the other hand, aesthetic as well. It has very unique structure, maybe it's as repetitive as it should be to please the listener as long as it is possible but without any harm: it cannot be described with "boring" word in any way. I'm always trying to be constructive but this time I've failed: I cannot give you any advice - you just know how to drive your melodies and song's structure. This album was an interesting experience for me. Probably I will relisten to it in few weeks, when I am in the proper mood.

Thank you for the music.

Something unexpected. Made me smile smile.

You have reached really nice sound. It's a nice to hear a nice combination of modern waves with classical but fresh chiptune sounds. It is just well produced.

Hi everyone, maybe it's not chiptune but I worked hard and I really want to share my new album. I hope you will forgive me... Well, I've done an entire album which makes one, coherent production. It's Odgłosy - a musical journey making you sinking in the variety of the sounds. If you are ready, just put headphones on and turn off the light. It's 30 minutes of a dialogue with music, you and your imagination.

Tracklist:
1. Odgłosy (03:36)
2. Eter (03:32)
3. Mechaniczny blues (02:49)
4. Kraina deszczu (08:07)
5. Magiczna polana (04:10)
6. Podwodna oaza (03:48)
7. Czarne karaluchy (02:14)
8. Opuszczony dwór (03:12)
9. Nie jedz autobusu, kiedy schnie (02:05)

Jakim - Odgłosy (2013) (bandcamp)
MP3 320kbps

Cover is done by mog.

Everything was done in Renoise. The tracks 4 and 9 are native Renoise tracks (samples only + Renoise internal effects).

Greetings!

I want to have ability to imitate other people's style, I've even tried to do it yikes.

You can try and use the export to wav in Modplug tracker. It's pretty good.

Long time ago I have rendered many .mod files using ModPlug (1.16, I don't know how about OpenMPT) but people complain about module quality, there was nothing left with classic Amiga sharpness (no resampling/interpolation doesn't really help, it just sounds different). Anyway, maybe such sound is your goal. I find ModPlug sound polishing algorithm weak and muffling. Funny thing because I work with ModPlug and even original FastTracker 2 output seems to be a bit better big_smile.

If you are patient (you are), separate every track and render them using dedicated settings.

WINAMP + XM = OH MY GOD.

It is even hard to call it module playback.

Virt - FX4

Some people claim it as "technically awesome but annoying in the long run", I strongly disagree with second part smile.

Thanks. I tried to make this soundtrack listenable as stand-alone production and simultaneously, what is obvious, fitting in with a game.

I'll be honest. Musically it's awful, you didn't think very long about every single note, did you? tongue
