Wouldn't that cause the backlight to dim similarly to the way the battery light dims when low on battery? If not this would be perfect as the whole soldering both boards together is so annoying.

Hey Kitsch, any clue when you'll have the DMG link cables back in stock? I'm looking to do a massive shop in the next month or so and figured I'd grab the link cable along with a bunch of other things all at once.
