Antiskeptic were a band I saw a few times as a young teen. But it got ruined for me when I found out they were a Christian band and I couldn't help hearing references to "him" and salvation through it all. Especially their last album which was more open about it.

yeah definitely.  the last album was pretty sucky on most accounts but aurora is rad imo.
i grew up as a "church kid" so the times i saw them live were at that old black stump festival haha. they still smashed it though.
praise tha lawd!!!

oh, speakin' of "christian" bands: i had emery & underoath on all afternoon. my fringe length doubled in just hours.

its easy enough making pretty floaty sounds on a game boy, people probably just are not trying hard enough

nah it's not so much this

fuck the fucking game boy right off and use a c64 which has filters

as it is this

BUT i think maybe i should try harder anyway because that would be a good idea for anything really

i'm definitely okay with post processing btw :>
i just feel like the less that i have to do the better (i.e. i'm still open to having effect levels obnoxiously wet)

I was thinking about how I'd do properly smooth ambient music in LSDJ without any post-processing a while ago, I think I decided that I couldn't really do it but this thread makes me want to try again.

You could always make some sorta "chipgaze" stuff like WMD or Falling for a Square do and then leave out the percussion and lowpass it, hehe
Making music even half as good as 4mat's is also a good idea! smile

this is a website
on the internet
go to shows, meet people, collaborate or just have a few drinks or juice pops it's all g

fuckin xXPoSiCoReXx yo

No idea where you'd get one in 2013, but I had one of these lying around my house forever and apparently they work pretty well! I think I threw it out during a spring clean, otherwise I'd let you have it for the cost of shipping (or less haha).

This sort of gear is well before my time though and I never had any first hand experience with it.

BUT YEAH shameless self promotion is cool i guess! a friend of mine told me that his 5 year old daughter really liked a lot of these:

party dog by sievert is also awesome and i think the kids will love it
in fact the whole EP is really good
also information chase but that's possibly a given?

i'd like a thread ignore for the front page, maybe
dunno how often i'd use it, though

i like most everyone here despite the vibe being needlessly dismissive sometimes!
