Well, many people my age would consider my interest in politics to be somewhat nerdy, in particular I like to study 60's/70's American politics as an alternative to my more frequent academic studies on ideology.

On the side I watch quite a lot of old 70's movies which were state funded, try learn about numbers and patterns and also put a large amount of hours behind researching into hidden meanings behind Boards of Canada songs/internet postings/imagery.

Nice artwork, I'll give it a listen! Any details on equipment used throughout? (not that it matters, just curious)

Well, there are the obvious ones from the "big hitters" that you should download, some of my favourite ones from the 8bp catalogue that might be less obvious to some include:

Mark DeNardo's Lion, Tiger, Bear, AY Rider's ZX Spectrum is Alive and x|k's Nestek

Outside of 8bp there are a lot of excellent releases I'd recommend too:

Best of AHX Vol.1 comprises of some legendary tunes from the likes of Pink and Geir Tjelta made on the Amiga tracker AHX, Norrin Radd released Melodia di Infinità a while ago but it still remains one of my favourite releases ever. Lastly I'd probably recommend Razor 1911's Chipdisk #4 which contains some pretty essential demoscene music.

I'll leave somebody else to mention peeR's "Dances" and JAK's "Pamplemousse" wink

Congratulations to Spain, it was a poor final in terms of quality but lots of drama going around. Holland were a dirty side that certainly didn't deserve to win the match or the world cup so I'm glad Spain won even if the build-up to the goal was a bit dubious.

I think its better for Felipe Melo if he never puts his feet in Brasil again. Motherfucker. Own goal and a red card. What was he thinking?

Escobar was killed in Colombia after scoring an own goal, here's hoping this guy doesn't get the same treatment.

Word. I honestly think Melo is a very talented player though, for club and country. His pass for the goal today was really good (the Dutch defence was questionable though, hence why I think they'll struggle to win it this year) and he's also been very good for his club this year too when I've watched him.

His temper let him down again today though, hopefully the Brazilian media won't do what the English did to Beckham smile
