Topic: Suggestions on getting stains out of GB Light shell. (1 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)

So, Ummm...

I have had a Pokemon Center Gameboy Light for a few years now and it has worked lovely...
Recently I moved and had packed it up and wrapped it in a black microfiber cloth, It seems the black has stained/streaked the shell and I can't seem to find a way to get the marks out/off.

Magic Eraser would be of no use for this and as far as I can tell, washing it with soap and warm water hasn't helped.
I don't want to ruin the printed on logo at the bottom nor do I want to damage the shell.

Do any of you wonderful folk have any suggestions? I am really starting to worry there is no fixing this...

Ah, if you have one that makes it a much more understandable decision.

So, you are looking to wire everything up and still have the jacks for external audio and video?(same time or when the PSone monitor is not in use?)
You can do speakers and a headphone jack.
I would post my own pinouts but I am quite busy with life,

You are better off buying a 5"-10" backup monitor off eBay.
A lot cheaper, and most look better.
Adding speaker is quite easy as well.

What size range are you looking for?
3.5"-4.3" is a little harder to find but once you get to 5"-10" it gets pretty easy.

I'm glad it was as simple as that
My habit is to play with the contrast wheel right after a backlight mod.
Very clean install, the screen looks spotless!
Great job on a first mod.

Have you adjusted the contrast? The screen appears to be getting some signal.
Also next time use isopropyl to clean it (stick with 100% if you can, if not 70% and up is fine).
