I can't seem to get the kicks that I really want in famitracker.

So, I've read that a wav file can be imported into fami using the dcpm instrument editor by pressing "import" and adjusting your settings.
For some reason, though, my sound always gets imported almost like white noise! I'm not really sure why. As an example, here's the specific sound I was trying to get: http://free-loops.com/704-free-akai-mpc-sample.html

If someone could provide assistance or steal Chibi-Tech's kick... that'd be swell. wink

I loaded the site up in Explorer yesterday and got Defle with zero problems... Cool prog, btw. Can't wait to .vgm!!!

yeah you can, throw some rca->1/4" adapters on the end, plug it into a stereo input channel that has eq and you're good

In which case, it's motherf*ckin' GO TIME.
Thanks, guys.

you could buy the a/v cables

not as pimp as a modded one i guess, but works

On normal mixers you can't change the EQ and vol of an A/V in, right?

I kind of love how consistent this community is lately, someone posts a valid topic; some people enjoy it, lurkers benefit, and the people who don't have a use for it take it as some sort of personal vendetta and brutally shoot it down instead of just ignoring it.
Well, happy hunting.

I was benefitting until just now...
...cuz I posted.

I didn't know who I was before this album.

Draw a nice sine WAV an then cut a little notch in the WAV for some sweet distortion sound.

i reckon what this thing does on a fundamental level is really cool, but the execution is so dumb.
there's gotta be something useful to do with this kind of tool, surely?

Hey! You can go ahead and drop that rational, levelheaded shit at the door, alright?

Get!

I seriously did have a dream where one time I got to hang with Nullsleep and Bit Shifter... sadly, it turned out we had nothing in common. So, it ended up being very awkward.
