Let's write a history book about all the crazy shit that's happened in the community. Like a highschool American History type book. I'd buy it. (Until then, these threads will continue to be awesome.)

I'm not gonna lie, more than 6 tracks on an ep of an artist you don't know is quite an ordeal to listen to. So, I'd say, between 4 and 6... Or 3 if they're REALLY FUCKING GOOD.

Ah! I'll let you know some of the best tools in any artist's arsenal for getting your name out there...

Local shows and Collaborations!

...and plenty of them!

See, with the genre of music we're all doing here, we have a very limited "go to" fanbase. Much of the popularity work is winning over those who have never heard of this style of music or haven't considered it "real" music. Doing intense shows and working with other local artists will definitely build your "cred" and net you more fans...

...all that being said though, if you're trying to get on a festival, a good promotional packet will do more than any amount of "likes".

So, I've been reading up on this Arduino boy and the various other methods available to me for MIDI-fying my chiptune music. My question is this:
What is going to be the easiest/quickest route to travel? (Not necessarily the cheapest route... I've come to terms with the fact that it's going to rape my dollars, haha.) Where can I get one of these magical DMG's made at?

Solarbear, is there any word on the discount hotel prices yet?
I would very much like to attend!

Not yet. I've had my hands full with tickets and artists. (Also, trying to get a teaser vid together...)

BUT!!! I will make sure to make some calls this week. Probably tonight, even.

My tip: don't fuck up. smile

Actually, you'll probably fuck up eventually. The key is to not make a big deal of it. Just "lol" and move on.

If you wanna "wow" your audience, I swear on all that is holy, the BEST thing you can do is look like you're having a good time. Your audience will feel it if you look like you're feeling it.
