omg summer drama amiright

the interview position has been filled. I realize you all do this stuff. I do too. If you believe you do it well, then I was interested in having you explain to me how you do it better than the next guy.

I could have been clearer, and I do apologize for that. But you guys are missing the point. This was an opportunity "for the first 5 guys that pm'd me" to talk about what they do as an online artist. I have reached out to people that I find reputable for other topics for the zine. For this edition, image and management skills is what I chose to focus on, and seeing as I know you all are pretty reputable for this particular skill set, I allowed the first 5 guys to jump out and take the opportunity.

This is a community. I jump on the releases sub and go to your guys' bandcamps and give a dollar to your free albums. I read the information on the site, to better my knowledge of how to do all this stuff. I am a sound engineer in a studio. I don't know how to back up my cartridges. I know how to surf the forum to troubleshoot.

Sorry if I've been coming off as a prick at all. I saw this as a different situation than many of you did. Thank you for the suggestions and pms i did receive.

hurry, go to the game looking for music thread, tell him to do it himself!

lol would it have been better if I asked to do a collab? wink

didn't mean to overreact guys. Just thought about throwing out an opportunity. Nevermind!

For the past year, I have done several artist and record label interviews for the publication. My interviews have since become a staple in the magazine. I know my school magazine isnt the rolling stones, and I know how to fish. I also know how to extend a helping a hand. The position has been filled.

It never ceases to amaze me how horrible this forum is with helping. As much as I love creating chip, the chip community is a very negative place. But i forgot you guys are all big time, successful artists that need no help. This thread can be closed.

this forum is a great resource for finding people to tell you to find it yourself. I thought this was a cool opportunity for someone to promote themselves in a publication. Just trying to help smile

I'd love to get something done, as long as its for free!

Any suggestions? My reason for posting here is because I know some of the frequent users on this site are good at what they do, on a professional level, and still contribute to a community that supports the art they represent.

I write for my school magazine and I'm looking for someone to interview for the next edition.

I was looking to do an interview with a musician who manages his/her music, image (online presence, artwork, behavior), and performances (live gigs, live streams, podcasts, youtube videos) in a professional manner. The article will be used to set a good example for students that think they are too good to worry about the online image they are creating. There are a lot of students who do not like to cross over into different major's classes because they do not see it as important. But it is. SO! Any takers? I can do phone, email or skype interviews. If you live in Chicago, we can try to schedule an interview in person!

Thanks guys!!

I rather enjoy Kitty, it's pretty clever and me and my gf jam it in the car quite a bit. It was crazy to find out Guchi and Kitty were touring together because they were both pretty prominent on our playlists. I think an all chip tour kinda alienates it to the ones that make chip or know someone that makes it. I've never seen chip live, but I'm not sure I'd always want it to be all chip all night.

I envy you guys in the northern states. I mean seriously, Space Town Savior, IAYD, TreyFrey, Danimal Cannon! All I get is the shitty rapper... Seriously tho, can't wait for tuesday in orlando!

Respect Kitty

Go read all of Martin Atkin's books. Giving shit out for free is the best way to make money.
You should care. You should be somewhat appreciative.

I'm listening to it right now. This is so fun! The Deluxe is so head bob-y. The snare is legendary. Oh and A nice album art design is always a plus. Something you dont see a lot of around here..

that last little jam is sooooo good. makes me want to take walks at night and go fence hopping and swimming in strangers pools and falling asleep on strangers trampolines in the suburbs with your best friends

I'm definitely digging the guitar tone! I didn't think it was too low though.
