After playing my new OB-6 for 30 or 40 minutes I had tears of joy streaming down both sides of my face. Unbelievable how expressive it is. After having the P-6 for more than a year, it also is a workhorse, could not live with out it. Best digitally controlled polyphonic analog synth's of this era IMHO.

Re: BennVenn NES Flash Cart (41 replies, posted in Nintendo Consoles)
Im planning on building a custom flash cart designed to run Neil's ROMs. It'll either be USB direct into the cart to update the rom and load/save .sav files, or that will be handled via a dedicated cart flasher/dumper. It depends if people are happy to pay the extra to have it all rolled into one unit.
It'll have the standard multi-region CIC, gold plated fingers, FRAM which means no battery.
I'm aiming at $45 for the cart or $60 with integrated USB.
Any interest? Thoughts?
I'll take two for myself and for the store.....

I can put you in direct contact with him, but he is very busy and does not really have any time.
We worked together on a MCTRL version of PR8, the best ever IMHO.
His ROM's won't run without 32k PRG RAM. The ROM actually has a warning screen that lets
you know you don't have 32k available. He uses every bit of it too.

The real trick would be able to read and write .sav's. Especially for Neil's stuff.
Big interest from me if that capability would be present.

Hey aZu, I wasn't aware of my cart glitching out like that. Can you PM me with the specifics? If it's a bad cart I'll send you another.
Also, I may have found a cheaper source of flash carts. I've got some inbound for testing. If all goes well I'll have 1, 2 & 4 mbyte carts with 128k + 256k SRAM for half the price of existing BennVenn carts.
Definitely interested in these!
