Topic: Best free albums? (13 replies, posted in General Discussion)
Just getting into this genre and I don't mind paying for albums but I want to get a lot of music just to fill my library with and was wondering what some high quality, good chiptune albums are. I like Dances by Peer, The sun and the moon OST by Dubmood, and Solar Soldier by Prof. Sakamoto as an example of some chiptune I like so far.

Oh yeah, also, I know this site says "no video game remakes of music", so I'll send you a YouTube link (instead of uploading it here) to a remake of Saria's Song I did from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Thanks, I'll look into editing the WAV channel and whatnot. Also, what exactly do you mean by "moar arpz"? Excuse the noobiness, but I can't exactly translate that slang...

So if some of you may or may not remember, my first chiptune attempt didn't come out so good quality wise because I lacked LSDJ. Now I do not lack it, and hopefully you guys can leave some of your opinions, criticism and what not please!
It would be most helpful because I plan on making an album and am wondering "Is what I'm doing right?" "will people like it?" and so forth. Thank you in advance!

Okay so I've tried to flash it onto the cart on the mac with the EMS-flasher, I'm trying to read the README and what it says online and I just can't figure out exactly how to do it.... I've been looking around everywhere and whenever I enter the commands it says it just doesn't work, I really need a step-by-step tutorial of how to do this on a mac and I can't find one, basically. Can anyone help?

I'm not, I wish we did, I think that they are a unique thing that every user can have. Kind of like business cards in a way (I guess) just more awesome (about 10x as much)
Also the signature could include links to their chipmusic, etc.
While I'm at it: How about a post count by the user's avatar-area?

Not sure if mentioned already, but– you guys have better listened to Roots. Seriously, I really really liked that album, anyone else?

Wow, really enjoyed it. Funny– I'm more specific on what kind of chiptune I like and I especially liked this album. Any reccomendations for other albums you think I might like?

I knew what I was making wouldn't compare to a lot of the other good chiptune songs out there already, but I was inspired to make something after hearing all the cool music. I'm anxiously awaiting LSDJ, and because I didn't have it that's why I could only create what I did.
