Nex drove video out of a Gameboy to a TV, which is basically the reverse of this mod. Very cool nonetheless.

I don't know about anyone else, but I would love to see a DMG clone in this form factor come to light someday.

This is my finished Porkchop (Porkboy? Still working out a name tongue) shell! I have yet to backlight it, and I'm on the lookout for some more pastely pink buttons...

GoingHam needs this for all the reasons.

I hope you realize that I love you harder than a creep's favorite OKcupid crush. This is fantastic, and I can't wait to try making some graphics this weekend!

Yeah, there's some rad stuff on here.  Great work Bitman!

Thank you! :3 The album has gotten a lot of exposure, and a few purchases. Kind of stunned by the number of listens in three weeks coming close to rivaling my Soundcloud's record for the past year.

Live in a rock and jazz town? Do some rock and jazz covers. I've done it, it's how I'm playing in a jazz combo right now. For two of our four song mini-set last night, we used my DMG with LSDJ as part of the ensemble. Learning guitar, hoping to buy some sort of electric this Spring so I can do some more rock-ish stuff. I'll probably integrate my chip there too.

If you want to write jazz, listen to it. Free charts can be "acquired" "legally" by finding jazz books on Amazon and previewing the book http://www.amazon.com/The-Real-Book-Six … 0634060384 like this one, then you can find recordings on Youtube to listen to and draw inspiration from. Try to emulate some styles, track out the tunes yourself, and add your own touch. There's more than one way to skin a cat, and more than one way to play a jazz chart. For example - Black Orpheus is a standard in the book preview I linked, this video on Youtube is fantastic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bhk3TbNy … ults_video. Seriously, it's not hard to learn by doing this.

FYI - I use DMG's and Pockets because I can pick them up and mod them (backlighting etc) for cheaper than Colors in my area. Battery life, bass, and CPU speed be damned, it works for me.

Man, the original bulky beige Stratocaster has a warm sound (especially on the low end), but you can't shred as hard as you could on the Color ones (some people insist that the Color models have wonky low-ends).

i enjoyed it so much. so much musical variety. don't know if i'll buy out those savz, but i'd be happy to.

thanks bitman.

The saves aren't "for sale," I just think that whoever buys my music has a right to know how I did what I did, much like when you can get a front row seat to a concert and observe your favorite musician and their methodology. However, you can stand "outside the venue" and not download it and still get a good idea of what's going on. smile

What you DO pay for are the rights download the album (along with two extra songs).

This album contains every ounce of musicality I could express through two thumbs. From the heavy bass thump of my first real concert to the surreal bus window views of moonlit mountain sides, I try to transcend the past five months of my life into an album. Relationship trouble, a brief fit of narcissistic solitude, long work weeks, exhausting car rides through Tennessee, this album is very much a personal exercise as it is a musical work.

To use my included save file (which comes with the next-to-most recent renditions of most of the included tracks) rename the extension from .txt to .sav
