Very nice! I have been working on a GB-cart sized book. PM if you'd be interested in bouncing ideas off one another some time.

Bibbin's copy is a development cart, I think what you have is a promotional cart (for magazine reviewing, etc) because it wasn't uncommon for some games to simply be EPROMS soldered into cartridges (such as the unreleased SimCity for the NES) .

I can't recall any other games off the top of my head, but I know that similar things have been discovered in the Sega Genesis family of cartridges. Hopefully someone can either shoot down my idea or back it up, or something, but I hope we find out more about this cartridge soon! smile

Here's another cart to compare to, seems like your cart's EPROM chip resembles the one in Bibbin's prototype cartridge.

RGB backlight with logic gates, where if you hold certain buttons for certain colors (dpad for red, a for green, b for blue). So you simply hold down different buttons at bootup, and boom, any color you want from the basic RGB kit.

It doesn't emulate it, it's just a more condensed unit, much like how the DS contains a condensed bit of the GBA. Everything else you said is right smile

Really cool article, such a mod for DMG's might be worth investigating...

Why not do it in a sample tracker as proof of concept?

so gensis/mdm, midines & arduinoboy/nlmidi w mGB...think that can be had for less than $700 total, could be a lot worse... you could be into modular synths
s waht im saying is sell some stuff you dont want and hopefully you can come up with the cash

22 credit hours + college marching band + job DJing + girlfriend = no time to try another tracker right now. Thanksgiving might bring good tidings though...

I wish I could have the resources (ie, time) to write a full big-band-esque chart that used a Sega Genesis, a NES, and a Gameboy. I have to get the MIDI-components for each console (monay monay), but when I do hopefully I can blow minds. Until then, Gameboy all the way.

Barely used, 4 month old Nintendo 3DS. My flashcart broke, and I can't really afford games. Comes with a Sandisk 8 GB SD card, 3 paid 3DSware titles (Super Mario Bros., Colors! and VVVVVV). Original stylus and charger are included, as well as an extended life battery pack (uses 3DS charger). Also included is Pokemon Soul Silver version, with no pokewalker.

Asking $130 (paypal) with shipping, willing to negotiate.

I got this when you first posted the link on www.reddit.com/r/chiptunes, I love this album. Seriously worth a look.

PM'd.

I cannot use LIVE mode for any but two of my songs. All of my music stretches over long phrases, contains serious panning and volume changes, and complex modulations across keys right now. I can't label all of my drops, intros, keychanges, melody segments, and stuff across the songs I barely have time to write. LIVE mode would work if I could spend more time rehearsing instead of composing, I guess. For composing, I don't use LIVE mode for composition because I tend to compose a segment then play it back all in one go. LIVE mode is there for those who want it, as is SONG mode.

As they say around here... different strokes... different folks... different songs... different styles... different everything.

Totally not relevant.

This is absolutely amazing. Seriously, practically on-calibre with Disney's Fireworks around Cinderella Castle.

This is sick stuff. WAV sounds much better on a real Gameboy

Also - it is important to listen to real jazz
