ADSR is totally possible with tables, but definitely an oft-requested feature. Just sayin'!

I know for a fact that ping pong is gonna happen sooner than later.

AWWW YEAHH!

Dudes. Use the modulation tab in chipsounds. Specifically, Pitch EG ("envelope generator"). Try a depth of -4800ct and an attack of .20s and see what that sounds like. Should be a nice sweep kick. Is that what you even mean by "pitch bend?" The portamento thing someone else mentioned will work, too. It really depends on what you actually are trying to do. Chipsounds' 2A03 emulation is so spot on I can guarantee you that you (nor an oscilloscope) cannot tell the difference between that and real hardware.

MIDI mapping pretty much gives us piggy clock slave, huh?

[ALL] Added STOP command.

This one is the equivalent of LSDj's HFF and works only in phrases. In
song mode it will stop the song. In Live mode it will stop immediately
the channel it's sitting into. There's no extra setting to it

Prof's behind making this one a reality. You can suck him off any time, Arnie.

@matt nida: you can suck me off for getting this one cleared up.

AND WE CAN ALL SUCK OFF MARC FOR BEING THE AWESOMEST

I could be wrong but hasnt Dingux basically been replaced by OpenDingux? I am pretty sure there are piggy versions for both.

Kinda? Dingux hasn't seen any official dev in years, but there's still stuff being developed for it here and there. Open Dingux has been getting all the attention.

Protip: old dingux with the swap hack is still faster and uses fewer resources (processor, RAM) than Open Dingux because the latter loads gpmenu2x or whatever it is, even if you autoboot to piggy. I bet there's a way to auto-disable that.... Marc, being a ninja, can kill it on the backend and told me he noticed a difference (ie. a project with HUGE samples would only load that way).

First rule to LGPT users: being cool.
If you can't, just drop the piggy. Seriously.

And this all day and night.

wedanced wrote:

when in the truth its marc's say that dictates what goes in his software and not really its senior users

FALSE! There is a High Council of Piggers that will attempt to bribe/nag the living shit out of Marc if they believe in a particular feature. Marc will then say "that's dumb" and/or "that's for lazies" over and over until we finally convince him of its usefulness. We're like the goddamned electoral college of the pig.

I'm actually only like 10% kidding there.

OK, not kidding at all.

ANYHOW, wedanced, I always just wanted a "CLIP" indicator on the project screen so you can bump up/down the master to reach that perfect just-slightly-in-clip spot. I will actually add a ticket for that now!

Also, pingpong will probably make using white noise samples in piggy more bearable and hold us over until Marc implements a white noise generator! wink

I would like to seeeeee, a "tips and tricks" project folder where we all put a little trick like, I dont know, how to do dubby echos with the rtig or something. Name the project

LGPT_irtgdubechos

Make it a kind of continuously updating project getting filled with new tricks.

This would be better suited for littlegptracker.com, the wiki and maybe even zipped with the official builds. SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE,

I would also like to do a kind of slower freestyle compo called "Hexawe Allstars" or something, get to get an absolutely killer track from some of the best piggers and make it like, the "flagship" album which we can point to as a showcase of the bes piggy has to offer.

Yeah, invite-only compo. I like it. Elitist MF FTW.

Lazerbeat wrote:

Hexawe is AWESOME but there is a shit load of content, would be nice for a super honed and focussed release for new people to get a good over view of the sound.

This point gives me a great idea to help sort the content: TAGS.

HEXAWE IS ALSO OPEN SOURCE BRAINSTORMING. WE ARE GOING TO REDESIGN THE WHOLE DAMN THING.

10:44 AM me: :(:)
11:59 AM Jordan: what up sir!?
12:03 PM me: Oh that was supposed to be a piggy emoticon
12:04 PM Jordan: lol it was sad face happy face
me: It works in desktop gchat but not mobile client
12:05 PM Jordan: aah got it
hey symphonic distribution got back to me, they're up for releasing hexawe stuffs
12:06 PM which made rhino ask the question of if he could use it for releasing full albums rather than just his singles and compo stuff
which i don't ideologically have an issue with (we've done multi track hexawe releases for overthruster) but i do feel like the format of our web page is off
12:10 PM me: Yeah agreed
12:11 PM This is where my idea for the full album hexawe sublabel would come into play
12:12 PM Jordan: do we really need a sublabel if we allowed for singles & full albums on the label?
me: no not at all
12:13 PM Jordan: i'd like the page to be more of a music blog feel since that's how people are comfortable discovering music online. make a better radio, make the usual about and contributors page where we could list the bosses and bio people who have relased
anything else?
12:16 PM me: shop?
live webcam feed to your bathroom?
Jordan: oh yeah shop!
12:19 PM me: i think that just about covers it

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU'D LIKE TO SEE FROM THE NEW HEXAWE WEB PRESENCE????
