Pretty early to call, but this may be post of the year.

Someone needs to do a synthpunk project using only this and the built in mic like YESTERDAY.

I'm going to do a NES coding masterclass panel while on LSD in the jacuzzi. It's from about 3:35am on Saturday until 1:15pm.

Rock solid lineup and pre-show event. Great job, guys!

I'm just here to watch this thread spin out of control with more passive aggression.

Technically pretty simple, but kudos for putting it into an easy to use package.

Thanks. Didn't take long to write. Took a long time to package up! smile

Sorry guys, slight mistake in the readme file for the converter. Uncheck transparency when you export from photoshop, if you leave it on you'll only end up with 3 colors!

This is fixed in the new PDF / HTML readme - thanks again, Batsly!

Just get a PowerPak. Supports almost every mapper, has pseudo-expansion sound, and even plays NSF's. And they're built well. I have three and I've taken them on gigs around the world and I trust them 100%. Just rock solid.

NESFlix is a movie player for your Nintendo / NES, intended for VJ use.

In addition to just playing back movies, there are some effects to allow you to control it better in real time. You can swap between palettes, toggle color cycling, alter the playback speed, and toggle forward/reverse play. You can also choose to play the movie back in four-up mode or one corner of the screen. You can position the movie by scrolling the screen, too. All of these effects are shown in the YouTube video below.

To get your movie on the NES, you'll need to convert it to an animated GIF. From there, you can convert the frames to the CHR format used by the NES. Thankfully, Batsly Adams wrote a nice converter, which is included. The converter, and the NES ROM itself, will compile on Windows, OSX, and Linux. This marks my first released with an included compiler and shell script for non-Windows machines.
