I'm interested if you would not mind me making a couple of payments. I could pay you half on the 15th of this month and the other half on the 30th and you could ship after all payment is received. My name is Corey by the way. I have been out of the scene for awhile but I was active on 8BC and here some too. I also went by litebritedeath.
Hey Corey. Sorry for the late response. If you still want it, it's yours. I'll PM you and we can discuss details.
As much as it pains me, I'm going to sell my DCM8. I've heard these are pretty hard to find, and I'd like to offer mine on cm.org for a decent price before putting it up on eBay. I'll sell it for $400 (including shipping). That's a pretty good deal as far as I can tell.
The DCM8 is a great drum machine. It sounds awesome, and it's fun to play with. It's definitely has quirks, but hopefully you like quirky music-making machines. Mine is in great shape. I bought it brand new a couple years ago for I think around $550. Included in this offer is the drum machine, the original power adapter, and the manual. Let me know if you're interested.

Some how-to demonstrations:
great stuff
I use a KP3 with LSDJ quiet a bit. It's great fun just messing around with effects, as long as you don't overdo it. I also use the sampler a lot when I'm playing live. I record short samples into the KP3 sampler--mostly glitchy stuff from circuit bent keyboards that I don't want to lug around. It serves me pretty well.
I never could get the KP3 midi clock to sync properly with LSDJ, but I didn't try very hard. I'm sure it's possible.
Modding is really fun. For me, it's part of the enjoyment of making music on Game Boys. But it's not for everybody. If it's more of a means to an end for you, I suggest spending the extra money and buying one from someone who knows what they're doing. You're supporting their hobby, and they're supporting yours. It's win win!
Here's a video I did for the last song on my first album.
Also, here's a playlist of lyric videos for every song on my new album:

Are you someone's uncle per-chance?
I am someone's uncle! But he's only 6 months old
I didn't work there during the Virtual Boy launch. Much later. But yes, I'm probably older than you.
I used to work for the big N, and I can tell you this: There is Virtual Boy hardware with video out in existence. I've seen it in action personally. We used to use it when we needed to capture VB screenshots. It's probably sitting in a back room somewhere collecting dust. But there have to be more out there somewhere. Or, maybe there's a way to modify a retail VB to achieve this.
Personally, I would be actually be more interested in writing music on the Virtual Boy, using LSDJ-like software. Staring in to a VB is not as bad as people make it out to be. You just need to take a break about every ten minutes
Just wanted to let you all know that the full album is now available for streaming/purchasing.
All 14 videos can be watched here:
This is lovely. I'm in need of a new Game Boy, and am definitely interested. If you don't have a buyer, I'll take it.
Thanks you guys
Hey! My new album goes on presale today. Two of the tracks are available for streaming now, and the rest on Jan. 29th.
Holy crap there's a lot of awesome in that video. And the song is great as well. Can't wait for the new record.
Yeah, I hear you. I paid $100 + shipping for it, which seems about right. They only made 100 of these, and they're going for $200 on eBay. For the functionality, that feels a bit steep.
