I'm down. I live in Lakeview, so pretty much anywhere that isn't the suburbs is accessible to me. How does everyone feel about next week, or hell this weekend?
Also post where you live near so we can try and find a somewhat central location. Or a suggested place, whatever.

I'm in a golden yellow swiss recliner that goes vertical cause it's the most awesome chair ever invented, and it's in my living room.

Also I don't want to piss anyone off, though I doubt it'll be an issue, but you can download comics (demonoid has TONS, I just got Torso last night because of this thread) and read them with programs like FF View (mac, it's what I use).
Just mentioning it because it seems like price is a huge factor in your buying. I think, in the case of comics, illegal downloading can actually help the industry a TON. Get caught up by questionable means -> buy new books when they come out. I think it's a much move viable option than not being able to afford to be in the loop and thus passing on a book. I'd have never been able to afford to buy all of Y: The Last Man, but buy most of Vaughn's new stuff as it comes out. Same goes for my Walking Dead habit. Catch up online, then buy em when I can.

Y: The Last Man and Exmachina both by my man BK Vaughn. Some of the best stuff out there IMO. Also: The Pushman and other Stories by Yoshihiro Tatsumi. A totally different graphic novel experience than almost anything else.

When Dakota stayed at my place on Saturday, I stole his SAV archives off his laptop. For $1500, I'll come to your house and hand-deliver them to you.
Just send me one. Just one!

SurfaceDragon wrote:I could make swastikas but I won't. I fucking HATE Nazis, fascism, racists, and ignorant people.
If you hate ignorants so much, please pay attention
"The swastika (from Sanskrit:स्वास्तिक svastika) is a geometrical motif and sometimes a religious symbol it remains widely used in Eastern religions and Dharmic Religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism".
That was a quick Wikipedia lookup.
That is the real origin of the symbol. So, there, please research before going on a tirade on a public forum or calling a member a nazi. Thanks.
I don't mean to further a derailment, but stating that something's origins completely rob it of negative impact is a bit ignorant as well. We all know that faggot means a bundle of sticks originally, but is understood completely differently in a semiotic sense. This goes for almost everything offensive across the board. The origins and largely implied meanings of offensive things are usually pretty far apart. I think the backlash was a bit stern, but most likely on point. I'm guessing of course, but I'm fairly certain that Heosphoros was just trolling, and I would be deeply surprised if he was citing swastikas in the original sense, and if he was, that he, residing in a western country, would overtly state his intention, knowing full well the implication of swastikas to the world at large since WWII.
Unless Heosphorous is a devoutly religious Southeast-Asian child, living in Canada, and is yet to pass the 6th grade, in which case I'm way off base.

I agree with nitro about the 2 channels. It more or less sounds like the technique used to make pulse kicks done much lighter, and a light noise hit on top of it. Sometimes I like to do the inverse of this and throw a deep noise sound on top of a huge kick drum for crunch. You can also hear that one of the pulse channels isn't being used for anything but percussion until about 50% through the song.
