Yes, please.

He once let me check out his sav files and I just looked at them and saw all the crazy stuff he was doing and gave up. The day he picks up Piggy Tracker is the day I buy a rope.

I'm playing Hexawe All Stars! Just come to that, too!

I hope everyone is as excited for this as I am. I have a new three-piece pink seersucker suit just begging for a picnic debut. If anyone would like to rent a tandem bicycle with me I have a spare lime green seersucker two-piece. Size 38. Then we can ride from the park to the awards show in style.

I'll look at a map and pick a corner, but you can never tell where there will be an empty spot once you get there.

Let's say somewhere near the east edge of the field. By the Skater's road.

As far as constructive criticism goes: I agree that the first filtered section comes in too suddenly and I think it goes on for a bit too long. The sort of laser sounds toward the end also kind of come out of nowhere. The melodies are good but I think that the lead instrument could be varied a bit more. Not the melody itself, but the synthesis of the instrument. Just a bit plain and vanilla at the moment. Hope my little opinions help in some way!

And Akira's right - 4/4 kick drums do not house music make. For one, this doesn't lay down a deep enough groove to be proper house, in my opinion. It actually varies too much without ever locking into something. House music is more repetitive in its hooks, more rhythm than melody, with variations often provided more by changes in instrument filtering and breaks and builds in the rhythym than by things like melodic shifts. I may be off on some of this, but that's part of my understanding of some of the fundamentals of House.

Dearest Akira! Entirely a joke, I assure you, brother. Please don't take it personally. Just a little teasing because you often have strong opinions expressed frankly (something I actually appreciate and admire in a person.) In fact, you usually have great criticism. I know you've pointed out things in my songs which needed work.

Not meant to be serious at all. Good old-fashioned comradely ribbing. My apologies for the misunderstanding. I know that a winking smiley is a rather poor way to express irony, but unfortunately its what we must make do with - the venue of an internet forum is not conducive to shades of meaning. Words alone without inflection and nuance are lamentably weak and I'm a terrible poet so the more subtle hues of a comment are rarely visible in the vulgar and limited spectrum of online chit-chat.

Please forgive me and don't leave us. Your presence and well-won wisdom are fantastic additions to our community. Indeed - you're one of the most knowledgable people I know regarding the history of this music and art. I hope you accept this praise humbly offered and I promise I won't tease again.

P.S. This is all genuine and without sarcasm of any kind. I do hope that's clear!

Akira has a beeper that goes off whenever someone posts something in the "Constructive Criticism" section. wink

Sorry. The (unlikely) fine for drinking in public is much less the fine for underage drinking and (especially) supplying alcohol to minors.

Cool so when is Blip London happening?

A few things to make clear to the international crowd: drinking in public is illegal in New York City. So officially: DON'T.

On an unrelated note, the sheep's meadow is a big place not commonly frequented by police officers. And they have notoriously poor eyesight. For example, they probably couldn't tell the difference between a bag with a bottle of coca-cola in it and, say, a bag with a bottle of champagne in it. And I'm fairly sure they don't have the kind of X ray glasses that can see through plastic cups. I only mention these facts for educational purposes so our foreign friends can learn more about the tendencies of our law enforcement officers.

A taste of things to come: http://chipmusic.org/natty/music/flashh … lady-shave

Saving up for this starting....NOW. And figuring out how I can organize an after party in Tokyo. And convincing my band mates to save up for it too.

You forgot the "Best Dressed" category.

Christ, Those new York lsdj wunderkind sure are piling up! I'm concerned people will be too worn out to dance at hexfest.
