From what I've heard, photoshop is rather cumbersome to do pixel art in. I've never tried but if this rings true I use Graphics Gale. It's free and caters towards pixel art pretty exclusively.
edit -- also, I-95 and I-40 intersect in our state... in a lot of ways re: transportation it'd be a nice fit. hence all the drug trafficking in the state too, i suppose

Mmkay. I've been meaning to get into sunvox. It seems really cross platform so I'm probably gonna try it out on PC today and probably grab it for android/iOS once I take a look around. Thanks dudes.
Did a quick search yesterday for a tracker in the app store. Saw some stuff but wondering if anyone has any they would vouch for. Thought it'd be interesting to see how one would work on the iPod touch.

I've been surprised by the Mozart track: days ago we fancied about putting a "In the Hall of the Mountain King" version someone did with a midi and an "8-bittishing" program, so including an 8-bit cover of a classical piece is something that could seriously be done.
