Also, I'd like to note that I've been testing these both on my DMG and in BGB. The only reason why I'm bringing this up is because I loaded one of my .savs into KiGB and VisualBoy today at work, and found them to sound different and weird (still don't know why).

I messed around with a bunch of different combinations of format/write within the program just now and managed to get it to write the rom and sram to the first page, but the second page cannot do anything. Which is okay for me I guess? I tried formatting it again, but again, it freezes. Didn't even want to try to flash the rom on there so I just popped it into my Gameboy and it works.

But thank you for responding! I guess we can kill this thread.

I've been having problems ever since this morning trying to write the LSDJ rom in addition to my .sav file back onto my cart. I'm running 64 bit Windows 7, and I haven't ever had a problem writing the SRAM onto the cartridge before. It was flashed for me when I first got it from Kitsch. Whenever I try to format the card (both pages), GB_USB hangs and freezes after it says it's finished with the format. The only way to get around this is to restart my computer. The same thing happens whenever I try to write the .gb files as well. I even tried it on my friend's laptop running windows XP through VMware and I'm still getting the same issue. Loaded it into my dmg just to test it and what happens is it goes to the normal "Nintendo" logo, then it's followed by a black screen with the text "No data present". #losing my damn mind

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

That was a good thread (not that I was around then). I forgot about the "groove to increase space".

I had a snare I was proud of the other day, gotta find it. Also I did a nice crash sound recently. Mebbee if there was someplace to post it, besides muddying up your CC thread. (Although it's good publicity) tongue

We we're discussing how to achieve some good percussive sounds (kicks, snares, cymbals, toms, etc.) in another thread, but to be more organized I think it would be better to have its own dedicated thread.

So I'll start off with a snare that I just made that sounds pretty good (I think at least). Go to your noise channel and create a new instrument and set it up as follows:

Envelope - A1
Output - LR
Length - Unlimited
Shape - CE
S CMD - Free

Then make a new table and set it up like this:

TSP---CMD---CMD
EF  | O-L   | E-F5
00   | O-R   | S-40
00   | O-L   | S-E7
00   | O-LR | - 00
00   | - 00   | S-E4
03   | - 00   | S-08
00   | - 00   | S-35
00   | K 00  | K 00

Works best as C5 or C4

Going to make that thread now.

Works best at C5 or C4 btw. And I may start that snare thread.

Found a good sounding snare after messing around for too many hours. If anyone wants to know, I went into the table and did this:

TSP---CMD---CMD
EF  | O-L   | E-F5
00   | O-R   | S-40
00   | O-L   | S-E7
00   | O-LR | - 00
00   | - 00   | S-E5
00   | - 00   | S-07
00   | - 00   | S-35
00   | K 00  | K 00

And for the instrument:
Envelope - A1
Output - LR
Length - Unlimited
Shape - CE
S CMD - Free

Now, tell us everything about your extraordinary dance style.

It's been deemed Dadstep. It requires one to dance like a dad would. Very difficult to execute correctly.

Purple is always a good choice and one that I wish I saw a lot more of.

I'd probably be recognized for my dancing more so than music I think.

You know how to just take my money. I'll probably be getting those as well. Did you finally sell those teal buttons that you're discontinuing?
