Not yet, no.  Was starting to wonder if it had bounced back at the border or something.  Probably just caught up in stacks of holiday mail.

The playback inconsistences on the NES are not so huge as to make a major difference in this kind of situation.  I would recommend trying it out once or twice to see of the drift is more than you'd like, but I'd be willing to bet you'll be fine with it the way it is.

Hell, if the drift was too extreme, hould would groups like Anamanaguchi play live with Nintendos?

My SID chip has finally kicked the bucket.  I'm looking around various places for a fully funtioning one, but I thought it would be worth a shot to see if anyone here has one they'd be willing to part with.

Between 1/8" or RCA?  No.  It's just a different connector.  You could use pretty much any kind of connector and as long as it fits snug you won't notice any difference in audi quality.

Personally I prefer the RCA jacks just because they fit more snug and are less likely to pull out when you don't want them to.  However, even just doing an internal 1/8" mod (using the existing 1/8" socket to output your "pro" sound) will do the trick.

Actually, I've noticed that even a small short may cause your buttons to function incorrectly or not at all.

Make sure that nothing is causing any sort of shorting across either of the main boards.

I got this as soon as it was released and I love it.  I'm a tracker guy, so it's pretty rare for me to enjoy using a non-tracker program but RCA has a lot of great features that make it nice to work with..

Btw, as a left handed person, I'm very pleased that the key change options are both left and right handed!

Rhythm core Alpha is actually a really cool app.  It's got a lot of drum and synth sounds and it even has c64 drums which sound great.

You can even save and import songs via the SD card slot.

I've got an MC-303 and I love it.  It's a whole groovebox, though, with drums and synths of all types.  However, I got mine for about $90 CAD and most are priced around there so it's definitely cost effective and it contains all the popular Roland Drum machines.

I think PNES is really going to help stimulate the chip scene.

You can already change the colors, so what you want is a new default color scheme?  That's not really on my list of priorities.  Also, out of respect to the original programmer I'm not likely to change the name drastically.  I've been toying with calling it "Fat Tracker 2", but we'll see.

So far I'm interested in the important usability features.  Mainly everything iLKke mentioned, to make it easier to place notes and hear the changes you are making.  I hope to implement a "keyjazz" feature (allowing you to hear the notes as they are placed, but I'll have to see how his playback routine would jive with that.  For now, to avoid biting off more than I can chew, I'm going for the simple stuff (which also seems to be the most important).

On a side note, why the hell would I name it PAPUTracker? What does that mean?

Torrent Tracker.

A tracker with a built-in torrent system that gives you access to thousands of samples, modules and other neat stuff on the basis that every sample and module you work on is also automatically shared.

Even if someone made a player for Winamp, a GAMEBOY play routine is nowhere to be seen as far as I can tell.

If all goes well, this guy might release it now after my request. I'll keep you posted.

My thoughts were that is someone made a third-party playback routine for winamp, that it would be a jumping point to start work on a rlayback routine written for the z80.

But I'm hoping that they decide to release it for free now!

Wait, is that a winamp player you linked?  Was that done by a third party?  If so, you could try to contact that third party to get the deets on the format.
