I'm just waiting for BGB to add adjustable hum emulation

what i like to do with BGB and VBA is simply give the rom and the sav file the same name. So, for example: my100thlsdj.gb and my100thlsdj.sav . Makes it nice to have a ton of lsdj savs and stuff.

do you get the same hum if you record off of something like an ipod?

Your best option is to get BGB working properly.  Look in the settings tab for latency or buffer settings (don't have it in front of me at the moment).  Also check what wav writer is selected and experiment with other options.  BGB can sound stuttery when rendering but the wavs should still come out perfect as long as your system is configured appropriately.

BGB FTW!!!

generally you'll want to multitrack if you're looking to get a modern sounding mix out of LSDJ

I disagree, you can mix just fine on a good song on the stereo recording.

modern =/= good

I've found third party sources to install flash for android. It's nice. hehe.

I second these suggestions

noisechannel.org used to have gameboy compos. Maybe you could just enter your lsdj music into more general competitions. I've entered LSDj, Mario Pants (Mario Paint port), and Beepola (ZX Spectrum Beeper) into thasauce.net compos

This IS sad news. sad

Lost an aunt to cancer earlier this year... my heart goes out to you, man. My condolences. It hurts so much, but eventually you find the strength to continue on.

Big fan of your work. I wish you and the rest of your family the best of healing and strength and peace.

Use lsdj or famitracker or something and make punching and kicking video game sound effects = chiptune percussion

I gotta say... that song in that video is a very very nice way to use chip sounds. Good work, man. I dig it. Especially that 4-bit triangle bass. That just brings it all in. I really like your sound choices.
