Yo dude, unless you're hella blind or something, the last 4 pages of this have had at least some CC

Im trying to end the whole "chiptune as a verb thing", its already been stated, i'll take it into consideration.

If you guys have any cc that'd be great.

i understand the intricacies of the English language pretty well.

i guess i just don't understand why everyone is so butt hurt over it.

same here. Maybe it's just my reputation.

Chances are that he already knows.

Practise

A lot of chiptuners swear by this! It doesn't always work but it's one of the tricks of the trade and many of the best chiptuners in The Scene have done lots of it - it worked for them, it can work for you too.

It should be Experience makes perfect.

You  about other trackers. Learn about them

Thank you for the useful cc and not spewing useless douchebagery all over me. I'll make sure to add those.

Let me just make a statement saying that there are more than one way to chiptune, although LSDj maybe the most popular, you might be looking for something else like a computer based tracker, and there are allot of them, i would recommend renoise which is a very useful tracker with tons of tools, it also has vst capabilities. How often are you really asked this question?

If this article is mainly about LSDJ why do you call it an article about chiptune? It isn't, really. Seems, as has been stated, more about how to get loads of shit you don't need to make chip tune.

i never called it or anything else "an article about chiptune".

I get asked about 3-5 times a month.

Every thing i mentioned in there that you can buy is stuff you need to run lsdj.

so if you are reading this, most likely i directed you here to learn how to chiptune lsdj style.

from above, i obviously stated that is was based off LSDj, then i later brought up that there were other ways other than LSDj.

Well i changed the font color to yellow but in personal preference, i think the purple is easier to read.

Thanks you guys, all these suggestions are useful and i'll make the text easier to read.

Hey, give me a good reason to spend any amount of time trying to read that text.

Give me a good reason why i should spend any amount of time trying to think of a good reason for you to try to read that text.

Things that will improve this:

Run a spell check before posting. "Alot" is a monster, not a word.
Capitalise those I's.
Bump up the brightness of that purple if it's going to be on black (which looks nice).

Ok I will, I did what I could, but I copied it from googledocs and it gets rid of the format and jumbles it into one big mess, with no spaces.

It's more directed towards getting people started.

Why not reccomend free programs like sunvox, deflemask, famitracker, klystrack, maybe milkytracker, maybe piggytracker, etc.?

It was more directed to lsdj, I know nothing about other trackers except renoise. I can add it in thanks for the advice. smile
