Ah Martin, hi again!
Okay, thanks for the request. Last update 10/25/19, little to no chance of further development, I think. hmm

Even ~free~ Goattracker is more up to date. ^^
I should donate some bucks to them for their continued work.

Hi, just purchased, nice app.
Two questions: where is "play pattern" and how to set the loop point in the pattern list? Don't know if this exists, but I had a green arrow left of list, but more by accident, I don't know, what it is, the manual is pretty quiet here.

Yeah, good idea. Already searched for threads made by him here, but he only wrote this one answer above. I'm not on reddit, do you know, whether he uses the same nick there?

Some effects would be a great addition, anyway, nice project.

Sorry for digging out this old thread, but kudos to 2bt: it's a great app (just discovered it). Is this project dead? Would be nice if not.

I managed to produce the desired percs by setting the desired volume and correct FNums for the 3 channels - like: note "A" for BD (FNum 288) (datasheet p. 16) -  and then triggering the desired percussion via register 0xE (e.g. 00110001b - enable rhythm mode and play the BD and the HH) every step. The rhythm output is a bit quite compared to the instrument output but it works. Great chip, love it.

Hi,
I totally desperate meanwhile because I can't get the percussions to work. Can someone explain to me what registers one uses to create the rhythm sounds?
From the Application Manual I know that I have to set bit 5 of Register 0xE to enable the Rhythm Sound Mode.
But how can I play a percussion sound? (III-1-7) tells me how to enable / disable BD, SD, TOM, CYM, HH - but what do I have to do afterwards?
I guess the BD is only available on Channel 7 + Channel 9, the other instruments on channel 8 and / or 9.
Can someone please describe what registers to set to create e.g. a Hihat on Channel X, a Bass drum on Channel Y and so on?
I really love the PSG b/c of the embedded instruments but the rhythm part - I wanna tear my hair out. sad

Hi!
Here is a nice (new) video tutorial about SID-Wizard. It's in spanish but also has english subtitles: https://youtu.be/txDGyJHQR7g

Managed to solve both questions.
Number 2 by reading the complete manual.. :-D
Number 1 only works correctly with US or symbolic keyboard layout. The predefined german keyboard layout is somehow screwed, [shift]+ [-] doesn't work (isn't mapped correctly).
I'll hopefully fix this issue soon.
Happy chiptuning @all

Hi fellows.
I just switched from Goattracker to SID-Wizard, because it supports Midi.
Now I have two questions:
1) is there a way (key) to change the current pattern directly in the pattern-editor (like shift+( in Goattracker)
2) the tutorial about SID-Wizard says, to create arps, I should insert the values directly (like 0,3,7), but this simply doesn't work - instead there are real notes (e-4 also) displayed. It totally differs from from what is being written in the tutorial (even in the 2nd edition). Am I doing something wrong at this point?

Best regards

Checked it in SIDplay2, no arps in both.

edit:
Okay, I found the solution. Seems to be a bug in GT. When I save the .sng, sometimes some values weren't saved, thus the offsets for some instruments were missing. That's why they were not exported properly. Now I have the prior missings arps (instruments in general).

Thanx guys!

Hi!
Sorry for late answering, but I checked everything, no errors.
If someone could recommend me a hoster, I'll upload a small sample.
Btw: does anyone own HardSID? What do you think?

Hi!
I hope I'm not the last human to use Goattracker, so I have a question:
when I export a track as SID, a piece of the track is missing (when played in Winamp, dunno if it's important so I better mention it).
Tried all the export setting - nothing worked. It's just a simple arp. Are there any "no-nos" I should know about when using Goattracker?
Someone - pls help me..
