I'm also on OSX, I've been following this video and I have my .chr ready to go but I'm lost trying to get it into a rom. Could someone please explain the process?

This is very exciting to find. Has anyone used this with an Everdrive? The readme only recommends Powerpak or Retropak.

That's really good. I like how you took a fairly repetitive song, and gave enough variation to each verse to keep it interesting. Very impressive use of echo and chorus type effects in LSDJ

That's what I'd say too. The only thing I could mention is the pulse channels seemed slightly loud over the wave channel, but that's just preference to me. Great job! smile

Are you sure you have successfully cut the two PCB traces as indicated?

Hey Nitro, I desoldered and lifted the pins of interest. That ought to suffice for cutting the connection there, right?

Hey all. I'm trying to get the Thursday Customs v2 hex switch working in a DMG. (http://store.thursdaycustoms.com/product/hex-switch-v2)
The screen doesn't invert at all, instead it glitches heavily; pixels sort of "bleed" in vertical columns from where they should be, kind of like the falling Matrix numbers, whole sections of the screen cut in and out sporadically, things move around in static and waves, etc. all on it's own. It actually looks like a pretty cool circuit bend... but nothing is shorted out. The solder points are good, things are wired where they should be, I've undone and redone the work several times, yet I still have the same results.
Throwing the bat switch doesn't invert/revert the screen, but it does change up the glitching.
When I pull the whole kit out completely and reconnect things to their default, the screen works properly. The screen also works fine with other DMG motherboards so it's not the ribbon cable. The kit causes the same issues when installed to other motherboards.
I'm really at a loss here, I've done all I can think of to troubleshoot.... anyone have any suggestions? Thank you

I come across quite a few fans and people familiar with chiptune here, but I haven't found any other artists active or still in Boise.

I really like the artwork !

I think limiting and account to one or two name changes sounds like a good idea.

Thanks so much, guys! I've been sitting on a few of these tracks for a while so a difference in composition is there. Any CC is greatly appreciated!

At long last, my album is finished.
It's 2x-LSDJ with occasional effects added... mostly dancy electro, some prog, and a little noise. Lemme know what you think of it, grab it for free or buy me a coffee smile

Howdy all, I don't have much knowledge of building things like this, but I'm trying to design something to re-route signal in or out of external effects.
I use a two Gameboy setup, and want to be able to direct either of them between one, both, or neither FX boxes while playing a song. (So I don't have to plug in/unplug anything during a performance or recording. Just a flip of a switch or two.)

Everything needs grounded of course, and it's also going to need to maintain stereo sound throughout. This is just to get an idea of how to wire things.  So here's what I've drawn up.

Which resistors should I be using for the passive mixing? I have made a passive mixer before using 1K resistors, and noticed signal was louder when one side of the audio was playing, but much softer with both sides of the audio playing... I need to avoid that if possible, I don't know if that's due to the resistors I used or how I wired it.

- 1 or 2 short pieces of wire for ground
- 3 Stereo jacks

It doesn't look pretty but it's functional. My soldering skills aren't that great. tongue

Edit: I'd also like to be able to optionally run one signal source through both FX, that won't work with what I've drawn. Should I add a switch to mix the two FX at the end, or do something else?

I really like your composition style and delightful vibes! smile

Hmm. I had always thought the purpose of recording each channel separately was for clarity and to give more control when using compression.
I notice a huge difference when physically mixing audio between multiple gameboys vs. recording them separately.
Edit: ^ that could just be my mixer mudding it down though.
