At Toy Company fest 2 in Montreal, I was with jefftheworld and I was leaving the greenroom to see the show and a drunk guy entered out of nowhere at the same time and piss in the trashcan of the greenroom...after that everybody was thinking I was the one who did that...
I passed for an idiot but it was awesome ! tongue

In terms of genre-bending or whatever, I tend to dislike all these artists who seemingly get tired of "pure chipmusic" and then have their mandatory go at making chip-EDM or chip-rock or folk music or whatever. Most of the time it doesn't grab me at all and feels extremely lame. It takes someone special to pull off a transition like that.

Totally feel this one ! ...Well I think it's okay if they still using trackers like Renoise but yeah...
Like most of you I love diversity and listening to 10 000 different genres of music which is the reason why I LOVE Chip/tracker music !!!

My Weeklybeats !

what e.s.c. said there is a way to put 2 1/4" outputs on your NES (1 for the Squares and 1 for the Triangle, Noise and DPCM) and if you want somethign more I know XC3N add the 3rd 1/4" input and added something else (I think it's a capacitor or something like that) so he can have an output for VRC6 !
btw your music rock man !!! Big fan of your works, cant wait to see what you will do with a cleaner 2A03 !!! big_smile

jellicas done some pretty cool sid tunes - dont know if they export to sid or not or if they just make use of the sid chips.
Try out minimal bip by vim if you get the chance.
mch or michu tends to do some interesting stuff https://soundcloud.com/mch64
If youre really stuck, theres that really long track by dane called  edge of disgrace , or at least, thats what the demo is called, haha.

Most Jellica's sids are using 2 SIDs so if you dont have a SID2SID or piggyback 2 together or etc you will be able to just listen half of the tracks !

anything from Randall
Zabutom
Wiklund
Cadaver
GRG
Jeff (Soren Lund)
Geir Tjelta
GOTO80
maktone

Once again solid tracks from this guy, SHM have this little Hiroyuki Masuno style to it (Shadowgate, Deja Vu, Uninvited) that I love a lot !!!

cTrix, because he's extremely modest, very helpful, really reaaaaally smart, a wonderful host and awesome guy in general.

Some older chiptune guys, because they're a constant inspiration, some names:

radix - really talented musician overall, and probably one the best melody writers in chiptune I can think of.
malmen - Amazingly talented guy that can really put a finger on the melodramatic side of things while still touching that happy side. Extremely well executed harmonies and melodies in basically every style he tries.
joule - Very knowledged guy on music in general, very theoric approach to music and as far as I know him, really perfectionistic as well, which results in super thought of tracks that are good through and through.

+1 For Joule !!! More people need to listen his music for real !!!!

Never tried Ultimate but I tried the Retrobits one and it is really cool !!!
Btw are you Tao from the Atari ST scene ?!
