So coming home from a road trip I stop at a flea market on the side of the highway. One guy had a gameboy for a dollar. It was marked "no sound but screen works". I think to my self easy fix great deal. I look at it. Clean terminals and body but no volume wheel. I buy and get on the road. When I get home and open it up I realize it has been butchered. The whole component has been desoldered and removed. It looks like the contact point has been burned out. I even tried to just pro sound pre pot but the solder just beads and rolls away. Is there anything I can do?

I was under the assumption that painting the pcb would interfere with functionality. Are there any do's or don'ts when painting the pcb?

Did you paint your circuit board white? This is gorgeous!

If the shells are PVC wouldn't that mean that they are a thermal plastic? Has anyone ever used a heat gun to manipulate the structure of the shells?

Where did you see that? The paint he's talking about is specifically "For Polycarbonate."

"This is a 3oz can of translucent blue polycarbonate spray paint from Tamiya. These spray paints were developed especially for decorating transparent polycarbonate (Lexan) bodies used in R/C car modeling. Each can contains 100ml of paint, which is the appropriate amount for finishing a model. Small detail work should be brush painted beforehand using Tamiya bottle paints for polycarbonate. Paint the body from the inside, keeping the can about 30cm from the surface. After curing, apply another coat. These paints are impervious to oil and fuels, so they can be safely used on gas-powered R/C bodies. Never use these paints on plastic models." - Taken from web.

Are gameboy bodies polycarbonate?

Tamiya transparent spray paint, designed for RC cars

According to Tamiya's website these aren't to be used on plastics. Did  you have to do any special prep? These look great!

I am  using v4. I got LSDManager to work. I am quickly learning the do's and don'ts of transferring songs on computer. While testing savs here and there I deleted my PC sav.  It seems every time i run LSDJ on BGB emulator, it automatically creates a new .sav file. Somewhere in the mix I think it overwrote my original sav. I did get the song from my gameboy to my PC. I had to designate a new folder just for the .sav and the .gb.

Everytime I want to save a song (or block of songs depending on the file) to the PC, do always have to have a .gb file of the same name paired with the sav? For example..
Folder 1 -> Project1.gb, Project1.sav
Folder 2 -> Project2.gb, Project2.sav
Folder 3 -> Project3.gb, Project3.sav

I know that for each save I can have multiple songs within said sav. The above is for explanation.

Also, while i'm here, is it possible to take one .lsdsng and merge it with another .lsdsng making it one song?
Example; I composed an intro on the PC, then later did the rest of the song on GB. Can I make the two one or is it just a simple case of re-composing on preferred hardware?

Awesome. Sounds easy enough. Now that you mention it, I didn't even think to look at LSDJwiki. Duh.

Thanks.

I actually downloaded what i think is lsdmanager but it's contents were a bunch of CLASS files. I'll look some more.

Ok. First off, if there is already a thread on this please direct me to it. I've tried multiple searches and all i really ever get is transferring from smart card to PC. I need to know the opposite.  I wrote some stuff on my computer using LSDJ, before i got the cartridge. Then when the cartridge arrived I began to compose on the gameboy. Now i want what i wrote on the computer on my gameboy. I'm hesitant to try without some concrete info. I'm afraid if i transfer my pc save to the smart card it will erase what i have on the gameboy. Please and thank you.

I've been waiting for a couple of days now. Still haven't got a username. Also not in my spam/junk folders. I hoping once the weekend is over I'll get it.
