Re: Chiptune Genres and Subgenres (95 replies, posted in General Discussion)
"chipmusic/chiptune/micromusic" is really a genre?, my anwser is no. Why?, "chipmusic/chiptune/micromusic" is more a tool/instrument. Same happend with pixel art, it's not actually art is just a tool that kind of result....
Why i think that, well... there are plenty "chipmusic" which is actually more than that. Some people sing, play string instruments, play drums, play piano, etc, etc... over a simple/complex melody composed or created with an old hardware or new but reminding the basic sounds from the simple wave forms such as, square, triangle, sin, saw, noise, etc etc.... but this is more complex as linde saids... and since that.... this is getting more into the stupid/deep of concepts... so i will stop here...
Just call it according to what rhythm you use.
In my personal experience, i do.... pop/hip-hop/dnb/glich/vgm/breakcore with NES/Gameboy sound mostly, or kind of... not sure about that actually...

Topic: ntdll.dll at GB Smart Write (transfer2) (2 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Hey, i buyed a cable to run the GB Smart Write (transfer2) at my windows Vista 64, but im having a problem with a DLL file, i spend like 4 hours searching in google for a solution and nothing seens to help.
The main problem is that the windows dont let me to overwrite the file (dll). I tried many things but nothing works... these are teh erros....
I dont know if after overwrite the file that will solve the problem. The Gb Smart seens to open "fine" except for that error at the begin, but seens like is not detecting the Carts, so i suppose is because of that DLL error, since the program is based in NT version.
I will appriciate any help, thx

Re: I'm a newbie! (23 replies, posted in General Discussion)
i will recomend this,
first at all investigate about the different sounds and what kind of sound you like. like different chip sounds or and specifict sound. after that you could ask what kind of program or hardware u need.
and of course i will highly recomend to read the posts that already are in chipmusic
