You can see the control ports both fully provided for at the lower-left:

I've often wondered what chip-types are using to MIDI up several boxes - what with your average console not having MIDI thru!

I use a Philip Rees W5 dual input/5 out MIDI through box. If I didn't have it, I'd be up for this circuit!

Just nab 2 pignose amps for stereo. hahaha

I've got a Piggy! I've had it for years. Always good to have laying around.

Many thanks kitsch, works nicely on my W7-64.

OK, that's my last device with no 64-bit driver - hooray!

Cheers µB.

OK. Thanks.

Now why didn't I think of that?

Thanks boomlinde! Works nicely.

Although not the comprehensive fix, as you said, it's functional for me now.

The box for replying and posting new messages is black text on black background for me.

I'm using Opera 10.50 on Windows 7.

I have to mouse-highlight what I've typed in order to read it back.

This didn't used to happen. Has the code for the site changed? Otherwise, I upgraded to Opera v10.50 this week which may have changed something.

Any chance of a fix? Many thanks.

Ok,  but should I want to install a SID2SID with 8580s, how can I reduce the voltage?

Get a different board. They are specific to the SID, you can not use them interchangeably.

You need to build a circuitry to allow that. More trouble than you want.

It's dead easy, so long as you can solder. You replace VR1 with a 9V regulator, and the two filter
caps with 22,000pF. Takes about five minutes and costs about £1.

Yeah, that's happened to me. Still, it would give rumpelfilter an idea if the pots don't work.

The SID is used to read analog data from the joystick ports. If you have a device (paddle, pot controller) that you could plug in and see if the SID talks to them, that would give you an idea if the SID is working.

Other than testing a known good SID, that's the only way I can think of!

BBC Micro!

No matter how long we spend apart, she always feels so right!

I find SGB good for composing when batteries are dead, or for demonstration purposes.
I've yet to hear anyone performing with one though, I would if I could find two of the 2nd model ones with link ports.

Link port mod for model 1:

Midines would be lovely, and mGB! Cheers.
