WOOOOO ~
i can't wait
holy shit
Count me in!
(I hope I haven't missed the first batch)
goddamn finally just go to a chipshow for once
You'd better be coming to this: http://la8bit.com/
Fucking Werewolf Asso
+1
Fucking Werewolf goes so hard. They're one of my favorite bands.
Play a shitload of house shows.
\m/
Bookmarked on mine; it's looking good!
I dig it.
Do you have plans to add vocals to your tracks or are you keeping them instrumental?
I love my super nintendo
Sample Editor - Draw Sample. Now you're basically in Milky/Fasttracker territory.
I'm not very in-tune with the supplementary plug-ins (or the Renoise community at all for that matter), I'll have to try that tool soon!
As far as drawing samples, I haven't really ventured into that realm, but it seems as though I might soon.
I kind of bought the software and then secluded myself from the world, sampling different instruments and what-have-you in the depths of my room, leading to odd sample-only tracks, such as this: http://soundcloud.com/myriadviolets/adv -mountains
http://soundcloud.com/myriadviolets (mostly non-chip chillwave music)
http://soundcloud.com/playingtourist (the lo-fi indie punk band I'm in)
beginning of the end
i'm scared
I'd really like to see some live performances/sets that you guys find to be great/inspirational/moving/good sounding/what have you. Recently I've been watching more live performances than listening to mp3s of the original songs.
Fucking Werewolf Asso seems to put on such an energetic performance, holy shit.
It's not even particularly intricate chipmusic either, it's just fun.
somebody, let's start a band
Renoise is glorious.
I use it for everything. I wish it had an on-board sound generator though, for now I typically import samples I've created in sunvox or lsdj. At least it's made me more creative at sampling different things, like pen-clicks and typewriter taps and whatnot.
Hey everyone!
I've noodled around with chiptunesque sounds for a bit, and at the moment I create some non-chip sounds using renoise, and I'm totes diggin' the scene. (I have some stuff up at http://soundcloud.com/myriadviolets for those who are interested)
My current project is ~hopefully~ building an arduinoboy for use in my live band; I'm kind of learning the whole circuitry thing as I go, but y'know, it's fun.
Anyways, seems like a great community here!
Pleased to meet you all.
