The two mixers I'm considering are the MX400 micromix and 502 (both Behringer's stuff). The 502 is only about 15 bucks more expensive than the MX400 so I'm thinking of springing for that extra "stuff".

there's a few lsdj guys scattered around and a dude that does c64 demo stuff, but little in the way of a scene. Perths kinda weird. some new opportunities popping up though, there's a bit of a gamer nerd community and they throw events with a bit of a retro kind of spin to them
i used to write regular dance music but i've been regressing into chiptune because it's easier and swaggier
