Gonna leave this here for reference.
http://chipmusic.org/forums/topic/8259/ -pressing/Don't hardpan bass and kicks is part of the needle skating thing, in fact most loudness war habits fail on low quality vinyl. Deeper, higher quality pressings sound better and allow you to get away with more abuse of limitations. I would hope the engineer will take care of it to a certain extent, but it's like giving a 25x25 pixel image to one of those T-shirt websites.
What do you mean by hardpan? I put most shit on different channels, is that hardpanning?

also worth noting is that a lot chipmusic is in inherently completely unsuited to the vinyl format. square waves below certain frequencies literally cause the needle to jump. plus you have to do all this mono mix stuff that will phase or sound terrible after pressing if you don't know exactly what you are doing.
can you expand info on this, please? I pressed vinyl before, but it was all guitars and fun so we did a simple mastering and call it a day

Last week Sara came to the studio and we recorded an old tune we never released and a few new ones.

the AV experience is pretty spectacular, apparently.
I have to check it myself to have a veredict. Like I said, I like teh concept on the videos. Daft Punk is a good example of an artist persona well done.
I came to this thread to talk about myself and troll a little bit about the topic, and also to try and hurt superbustysamuraimonkey's feelings.
I played with different bands, instruments and settings, and I've never been anything different than me, because I'm so cool and I kick ass as I am, I won't try to make up a character because it won't never be so awesome as my normal persona would be. Except if I really try my best to do a kick ass character because I'm really smart and I can bend the space and time with a wink of an eye and be better than myself.
And yes Superbustysamuraimonkey, your english is lame and I don't give a poop about your opinion xD
Hahahahaha, I never needed a persona on my normal bands because I draw enough hate by myself. You still have to watch us live, tho, Sara's persona is very interesting. She's the superbusty part of the band. aHAHAHA

They play Ableton with helmets on.

Yes, it means you don't like Daft Punk either.

SuperBustySamuraiMonkey wrote:I had "characters" for some bands and I was just me for other ones. It depends on what you do. If you just play your music, dont bother me with your helmet and n4m3. If you offer a show with some sort of visual/theatre thing, then entertain me as much as you can.
How does that pertain to a group like Justice, where they stand there and play stuff while the world flashes around them, or is that what you're saying you'd prefer if you don't have any "theatre" about you?
Im saying I dont care about your alter ego if you just use it to wear some costume but you play like everybody else (ie: playing in a rock band in a medieval cape : not interested. Robot heads in a press start electronic band : not interested)
IF you have something else, then go crazy. I think the masks from slipknot are absurd, but theyre part of their show. I dont even like Marilyn Manson, but I understand the clothes. I love Kraftwerk no matter what they wear, but I get the robot thing and hieratic attitude.
Im sorry, Im no english native. Was this more clear?
