fat sounds, but I dont like raps, especially not this sorta gangsta/aggressive style. there are only a couple rappers i like, e.g. Q-Tip (A Tribe Called Quest), the Beasty Boys (Hot Sauce Comittee Part Two is epic) or Del The Funky Homosapien.

im looking for something in the direction of dj krush/dj shadow, though ... maybe not as dark, but definitely as rap free and rhythm-focused.

does anybody know artists who do chip hiphop, or something like that? im looking for slow tempos, heavily syncopated beats and overall strong emphasis on rhythms. no raps, purely instrumental. my focus is on game boy/ nes stuff, but anything would be cool really.

would be awesome if you could help me out here - hard to come by this kinda stuff. chip music DOES work best as uptempo EDM, imo ... but I like hiphoppy beats.
