Next gig is with Superpowerless though, which I'm not looking forward to... how the fuck am I meant to promote that? In two minds whether to just play a load of Atari headfuck shit and NL 2.3 FM jams or just make a load of unce tracks in a month, ha.

Wave Kicks are by far my favourite althogh the volume of them seem far too low, pretty shore there is a really nice one on the LSDJ patch Book that shirobon taught someone.

I posted a louder variation on that one in this thread (not the op)

stick ozone on it, choose a preset, bobs your uncle wink

Random's Spontaneous devotion is probably the best mastered gameboy track i've heard, would love to find out how he got the bass in that sounding so fresh (scotch egg's albums are also expertly done)

This guy... damn.
horizontal 15kHz is one of the most insane (in the very meaning of the word) gameboy artists I've ever heard of. His stuff is mindbending.

It's more frightening when you realise he's doing it all in a mental home.....

hey dudes,

i was wondering if anyone has a copy of the chiptune alliance compilation available for download.

i submitted a track for it and was curious to see if it got on, and also, to hear all of the other awesome tracks as well.

i know they sold hard copies of it on tour, but if its online, thatd be sweet!

thanks

You should make up a limited run of these CDs to raise money for your club night.

Toufu should go in the 'unappreciated' thread, he's got some very simple but lovely tunes, 'tokio drivin' is my fave.

pattern 0D 08 onwards in 'yoghurt factory' is probably one of the nicest things i've heard! I'm kicking myself for not listening to all this sooner!

Great thread big_smile

Going through these tracks william I can see where you get a lot of your influence from - it's really interesting!

I'm also a little ashamed of the composition's simplicity which I think is really exposed here

I think the reason information chase stands tall as a classic is becuase of it's focused simplicity. The compositions have such soul and substance that they would, as subway sonicbeat already mentioned, sound great on any instrument.

A lot of your melodic work has the same quality, and it what attracted me and a lot of people to that style of chip music.
