Check out this custom I am working on for somebody, every button will be backlit green and it will have an inverted green backlight. aswell as pitch control topped off with, of course, a green power led.

Aw dude I literally just did this yesterday with red! Haha!

You're only taking off the reflective layer. You want to take the polarizer off too so that you have a nice and clean LCD.

I recommend having them be tri-wing so it's easier to tell the difference in length. If you accidentally use a long screw for the LCD board you end up stretching the plastic on the front so it turns into a very noticeable little white dot. I did this by accident on my super rare teal boot leg shell. It made me sad sad
This is the only reason really. And I think the heads grab better and are easier to screw in but that's not a big deal really.

Contacts are needed badly! Not just with the cases. I have so many that are corroded out in good cases! You should do the ground shield by the cart slot too. Maybe find some tri-wing screws in bulk as well. The full replacement package!
I've seriously run out of tri-wing screws. Don't know how it happened... I keep having to grab them from old cases.

Personally I have 2 DMGs running LSDj. One for drums and one for the leads/bass and what not. I just hit play on those unless I'm changing the tempo. That's it there.
I play my C64 for about half of my songs. Sing to all of them and I use some of the "samples" from Trippy-H on yet another DMG with a variable pitch mod so I can bend the hell out of the bass drops and such!
I just picked up Music Tech and I use that on a DMG with an Easy-CLK so I can get 2 octaves out of it.
So I'm plenty ways of busy on stage now. Plus I usually have a guitarist or two if I'm not playing guitar or bass myself.

Buying two LCDs right now. That price is right! Ran out of LCDs.. Haha!

Also, is there any kind of guarantee? If the LCDs have lines when they get to me am I covered? How many do you have actually or are they pealed to order?

This is me showing off.

This might help a little bit.

Thanks! Rushed it a bit and there's a gap on the left but it got the job done!

Ah right. That's cool. Cutting a case for mine right now!

Ohhhh, you have a repo of this! Picking one up when I get a case.

Edit: if it's non socketed, does it fit in an untrimmed case?

Nope. It's actually perfectly flush with the face of a standard case. You could therefor cut a perfect hole and the chip would be flush with the surface. That's what I'm about to do with mine!

What exactly does this test?

It's the program that Nintendo used to test the DMGs before they went out.
It test the LCD, buttons, speaker, RAM and sound chip. Very handy for modders!
