btw, everyone, in case you didn't already know, Ape is the best. I just got a special apeshit xmas card in the mail, with one of his new solid color screen covers in it! Most thoughtful modder ever? Easily. big_smile

So yeah, buy things from him. Thanks.

Me too! BESTDUDE!

Thanks a lot, Ape!

OSM. Is the case "hardened" yet? When can we expect to see it in the shop?

Got ya. I just got it a couple weeks ago so I'm still learning!
I have the original one as far as I can tell. So a 6581 SID. Top left here:

it is limited with only preset sounds. doesnt come near able to pull out all the noise the c64 is capable of.

Yeah that's about what I figured after looking into it more. But it's cheap! Thanks.

I got Cynthcart and a keyboard overlay from a friend recently and I love it. I just have to figure out hot to make my own patches cause half of them suck.

MSSIAH Looks incredible to me. Like the ideal software. Every console needs something like it!

I don't know enough about them to answer that properly. It seemed like the older ones were better but IDK.
Why would plugging a controller in and having sound issues mean a broken SID? This worries me...

Just cut notches in the shell right above the buttons. Gives perfect light distribution. I should probably do a tutorial on this since people ask so often!

I would love to get my hands on that Audio Spectrum Analyzer for the TRS-80.
Tandys are fairly useless without the sound cart.
I programmed it to run as a keyboard once but it had about a full second of latency.
I NEED THIS! It would make my Tandy good for something!

I know this is old but I was trying to find a SID for sale...
No solution here but I had the same problem with a controller plugged in.
I've yet to look into it but maybe you're not supposed to use both at the same time?

Why NTRQ? Why not Pulsar?

Lol. I was going to try those buttons once. As soon as I got the controller open and saw how tall they were I threw it out(it was broken anyway).
Would of course look amazing if anyone was willing to take the time to cut them down to sit like stock buttons. But I'd rather just draw an X and an O on PIL buttons wink

Super awesome, ASM!

And not only do you need to cut the tabs off on SNES buttons, you need to drill the back of them a little bit or the buttons simply wont work.

Related to this - I keep saying I'm going to do this and keep not doing it.

If you backlight a DMG, get that number on the back of the reflective crap you have to clean off the screen, and indicate whether it came off easily or with difficulty, and keep it matched with the DMG serial. I've been trying to figure out if there's a pattern or not for ages, but I keep losing the things after I take them off. wink

Not a bad idea about the LCDs. I just always figured it was conditions that made the glue set better on certain ones.
