we should hang while youre in chicago... not optimistic on the gig front, but we can look into it

try using software based noise reduction then, make sure to record a few seconds of just that noise before and after each track (the noise reduction i use requires this to sample it and accurately remove it from the rest of the audio)

DMG need to have pro sound if you like to use with mixer.

incorrect..
pretty much all a prosound mod does is increase your signal to noise ratio...never really necessary (unless maybe you're also using other instruments that have very high output levels, i always used one with my electribe esx-1 since that thing was loud as hell)...you can always do noise reduction in post-production or use a hardware noise gate of any sort (i have a behringer autocomp pro xl that i keep around for this reason)

from my experience,  sps vary on signal to noise ratio.. if the you have doesnt produce too much of a hiss in the audio output, id just stick with it for a while

I have mixed feelings about cm.o specifically.
But I see that the Chipmusic scene has split into three main parts

- the rigid crowd who feel that they are better than everyone else or they have more credibility
- the kid crowd that know nothing and may or may not amount to anything as a chip musician
- the hipster crowd that are kind of moving on toward sea punk, wave shizz, and stuff like that. They were always in it for the aesthetic anyway.

I'm not sure that there is much we can or should do about it. I'm sort of disenfranchised with the scene and chose to take my friends and do my own thing.

so according to you, everyone is kind of a douche?

true, i noticed a lot of people complaining about things, but never reporting things they feel should be removed, just responding to it instead

12 monkeys is a little ambiguous on that, but the short it is based on (La jetée) has it as a clear time travel story, so i'd say the future elements are literally happening, not just a figment of his imagination/delusions.... also, hard to explain away him having the memory of the airport from his childhood if the time-travel element isnt really happening

the line sort of drawn on thi issue to avoid people having closed bidding wars... generally,  asking what the fair value is is sort of ok, asking people to just pm offers is not

dont look at me, not staff anymore smile

think i sold my 2.2 for $80, about the same for 1.3... haven't seen a gp2x cradle sold in a while, so im not really sure

keep in mind that the inputs on mixers are mono 1/4" (6mm), so a stereo 1/4" wouldnt work, need two mono 1/4"
