moved and fixed the link to an embed instead

never even heard of it, which is probably not a good sign if you're hoping for people to actually listen to or download your releases

Also, now I feel like a total idiot...how do I post a photo? I took a picture to better explain what I'm talking about, but I have no idea how to post it on this forum board.

Clearly I'm useless...

you upload the image somewhere else, then post a link to think image in the post here. as long as the url ends with a .jpg, .png, etc, it should recognize it automatically, if not, you can use the [ IMG ] http://ficticiouslink. com/imagname.jpg [ /IMG ] (without the spaces and with the real url in between the tags) BBC code  to add it

In my modding attempts. I've broken the ribbon cables of 1 DMG, 2 MGB, AND 1 GBC. Now i'm wondering if there's a way i could take the hardware and transform it into some black box experiment. I have little to no programming knowledge but a steady hand at soldering.

Could I in theory use the sound chips and add them to a different gameboy and achieve more channels?

Are there any small keyboards i could add them to?

All ideas welcome!

the "sound chips" as you call them are z80 processors, so not a true soundchip. they couldn't be added to other game boys for more channels like SID chips in c64 or put into keyboards. here's the wikipedia article about z80 processors, but in short, there's not much you can do with them besides maybe replace a fried one in another game boy, should you ever run into one that the processor crapped out in but the other components are fine

Hey everyone, i'm looking to part with my very nicely bent Yamaha RX-17 drum machine. It was bent by Low-Gain (so you KNOW it's quality) as one of 3 RX-17s he bent in this style, as commissioned by BT. This one is the prototype, with the only real difference being that the wood enclosure doesn't have a nice coat of finish on it.  Works very well, just haven't been using it. Has spent pretty much it's whole life in a smoke-free, child free environment (think i used it at gigs maybe 4 times in 7 years, part of why i feel like i can part with it). The center portion has 20 patch points (which are mirrored, so you can access the same point twice without splitters), each side has 5 patchable switches, there's a row of 4 patchable potentiometers on top (with volume and tempo knobs in the upper right) , under that it has a 3-way distortion switch (with an on-off switch beneath it and a patch point so you can tap directly to that bend), and next to that it has 4 11-way bend switches (each with a patch point under it) that have switches in between them that allow you to chain those bends together in series (these switches have 3 positions - on, off & a position that works as a normally open switch, it swings back to off position when not held in place), & finally on the bottom row there are 8 patchable normally-open pushbutton switches. This thing is a work of art, you'd be hard pressed to find many bent drum machines of this quality available (if any at all, i doubt BT is selling his rx-17), it's got a very little noise on it , especially for a bent drum machine. runs off an included wall wort and comes with ~10-12 shorter rca patch cables..
-asking $700+shipping (which will be VIA UPS, signature required)
not really looking for trades, but am open to trade+ cash deals for a few things: SammichSID, Shruthi, DSI Mopho/Tetra, Boss DD-20 Gigadelay, and probably one or two other things that slip my mind at the moment (but they'd all be smaller items like table-top synths and effect units - don't offer to trade me game boys or any chip gear outside of a sammichSID, i don't need any more)

demo video below, would've been longer but my pi chose to crash tht day (was using piggy to control it) and my back hurt too much to take the time to troubleshoot whatever happened with the pi

FYI, you accidentally listed the soundcanvas as the gr-33 , which is a very different item. probably should fix that, since most people looking for a soundcanvas aren't also looking for a gr-33 so they might not see your auction

you're just lucky you weren't around a decade ago then, back in the days of $100 pre-flashed 32Mbit EMS carts (required a $75 transferer and a computer with a parallel port to use it with if you wanted to back up your tracks or flash new versions/custom kit patched versions)

and i was just wondering a while back if you still had that, because i'm always curious on some level as to who currently has gear that i've gotten rid of over the years

also, don't lend him anything if you ever want it back in fully-working condition.
on the other hand, if you want to know who is in the LA/SD area that is totally cool in every situation, there's Trash80, Wizwars, Dasid, Nikaena Vizukae, Unicorn Dream Attack & a bunch of others who i've yet to have the opportunity to meet in person

though it's redundant since i was the first to reply on facebook, i'm down

Indicate prices on items you are selling.  If you are trying to auction it off put it on ebay and put a link to the sale here.

your best bet is probably to stalk ebay. they turn up for sale there every once in a while
