Re: Yamaha QY10? (26 replies, posted in Other Hardware)
Interesting, but in this case I will need to buy a midi interface and a console (like a psp) where run the program, so it seem to me an expensive option.
Then I've got to say that I don't like tracker's interface at all (in fact the only software that I use it's nanoloop on gb and gb advance sp).
piggy->midi doesn't work on psp, you'd be best off with a gp2x or a raspberry pi (or possibly the windows/mac version, not sure the current state of midi out on those versions though)...
biggest issue you may have with a qy10 is that it doesn't support midi cc fully, so you won't be able to change parameters during a song as easily with it (filter sweeps, etc) as you could with piggy... but the qy10 should work well enough for you to get the idea if you like working with the sammichsid & programming it

im a big fan of using pedalboards and i know both low-gain & herr_prof have used them too... they work pretty nice for a medium sized setup and go pretty cheap used (i'm selling my spare one now, but only locally as theyre heavy and shipping costs are insane these days)
and honestly, with how stong that velcro is, you don't even really need extra foam
edit: this is the one i'm keeping

i'd sell mine for $60 for sure (with miniSD->microSD adapter and microSD card, of course).. only listings i saw ranged from $60-$95 and looked like they were 2-3 year old forum posts.. makes me wish i hadnt given my exgf my spare

Re: Ez Flash IV / WTB (20 replies, posted in Trading Post)
are they really going for the prices i'm seeing online now? $60+?
if so, i'd sell mine and just go back to using my flash2advance cart instead

Re: MIDIVampires (17 replies, posted in Other Hardware)
haha yeah, was thinking about the same thing, just a different enclosure
edit: don't forget though, the piggy->midi boxes probably don't have midi power pins connected, so you'll probably have to run it through a powered thru first (more for anyone else reading this than herr, as he probably already knows this)
