Not sure what's going on but goattracker is being weird on linux. It either plays too fast or way too slow compared to how it's supposed to sound. Terminal output:

ALSA lib /var/tmp/portage/media-libs/alsa-lib-1.0.29/work/alsa-lib-1.0.29/src/pcm/pcm.c:7905:(snd_pcm_recover) underrun occurred

You're welcome smile I think I read somewhere that you can actually install completely over chromeOS but I don't know if you want to do that.

Well there's a way to put chromebooks into dev mode and install linux on it http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv7 … hromebook. Chrome has a plugin where you can use android apps in the browser so if your chromebook is touchscreen you can buy sunvox and use it on chrome http://www.omgchrome.com/chrome-apk-pac … droid-app/ . I wouldn't recommend using sunvox android app on a chromebook without a touchscreen though because the apps you can use on chrome only have mouse or touch support as far as I know and that would suck to input all notes via mouse and not keyboard.

Yeah! Welcome to the 3DS club! smile

But you should really use Retroarchs Gambatte emulator. Escpecially for audio emulation. The authors of Gameyob even says people to use Gambatte becouse it has so much better audio.

Personally Im mostly using the Fatass tracker on my N3DSXL. It rocks! smile

The breadbox emulator is ok. But it has slowdowns in speed and audio.

Actually I am noticing possibly more accurate sound on gambatte there's less clipping going on but I'm still concerned about gambatte not making the proper save files that work outside of gambatte hmm

Yeah you can play region locked games but I don't actually own any so I can't verify how well that works...

Well gambatte doesn't make the proper compatible .sav . I've backed up my .sav from an actual cartridge and tried to use it on gambatte, after changing the file to lsdj.srm as gambatte likes, and it acts like it isn't there because it doesn't use compatible proper .sav files.

Hey guys I hacked my 2DS and got lsdj working on a gameboy emulator it even read my .sav file correctly. I have firmware version 10.5.0-30U on my 2DS and I went to https://smealum.github.io/3ds/ then clicked on web browser and followed those directions. It took a few times to get the browserhax working but if you keep trying it should work. Then when you get the homebrew launcher on you should install menuhax_manager installed (it lets you bootup to homebrew launcher by holding L when your system boots). I've been told you however can't change your theme or use the theme menu as it will uninstall/negate out menuhax. To get some homebrew apps installed go to https://www.3dbrew.org/wiki/Homebrew_Applications and/or http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/List_of_3DS_homebrew and place the unarchived files in the 3ds folder of the sdcard. The emulator I got lsdj working on is gameyob. Sidenote: there's also a C64 emulator called breadbox but it seems like it would be a bit tedious and difficult to make C64 tunes via sid-wizard or anything else because it is reliant on the touchscreen keyboard...

Edited: firmware version, I've been way too excited and didn't type the proper one...

Appended notes: to exit homebrew launcher hit start button. To change screen size on gameyob press R then navigate over to the display menu options and change scaling.

more notes: don't system upgrade for a while if you want to keep the hack, check back with the hack site.

I should be able to do it before then smile

I'm interested but I probably won't have time to try until summer break from the semester.

That was pretty cool on both the audio and visuals. That waveform in 3d and the transparency was pretty neat.

So which one is better My Oldboy or John GBC? I use a samsung galaxy s3.

Oh I might need to try that gameboy emulator then yikes

I use retroarch for gambatte to use lsdj on android. I haven't gotten PPSSPP and LGPT to work on my samsung galaxy 3 yet. Maybe support is better now and it'll work better?

I think a little easier one to understand that's also native for the C64 is cybertracker I tried it on an emulator a couple years back.

On the modern computers there's goattracker. Sid wizard is for native C64 and looks a lot like goattracker.

I just read that else where on the internet. I totally don't want to come off as someone who 'knows better' and is a poophead about it. My intent is conversation, not instruction.

I can see why you'd feel it would be nice for a gba clone on mobile.
But, as someone who's actively used nanoloop mobile at least once a week for fiveish years as my main way of producing music, I don't want the all the same features as the gba version.

(I've never talked directly to the creator, Oliver, but,) the draw back of 16 patterns/ 4 instruments-per-channel is likely intentional, and assuredly not as constricting as it appears on the surface.
I've heard people say, "Restriction breeds creativity." Every now and then, I consider learning other chip formats, but I keep finding new techniques and ideas to try inside nanoloop mobile.

I encourage exploration into the mobile version more, if you feel there needs to be more added to what's already there.
If you'd like, I would be more than happy to share saves with you for examples of thinking about the app's limitations differently.

I can't speak as much about the gba side of your op

I'd be interested in looking at some project files smile
